Alumalina 2020, sad cancellation #92
Mr. Sandlapper and Susan,
I had some surgery on my right hand and we will have to cancel bringing our Airstream to Marion, NC this year. This is a big disappointment for us as we look forward to seeing Susan and you. Plus Annie and Terry and all the rest of the gang.
We look forward to 2021 and attending Alumalina next year.
Take care, be safe and stay away from the virus. See you down the Road in the future my friend.

The Bourbon Trail was a new event last year and was so much fun we thought we'd do it again.
Participants each brought a bottle for sampling which we lined up on a table. Musta been a dozen or more bottles. Some duplicates, some semi rare, all of the GOOD!!!
Most bottle owners shared some mini info on why they liked it, and everyone tried whatever they wanted.
I have a bottle to bring this year that has been flying under the radar for years..... an excellent bourbon, made by a very famous distiller, but bottom shelf price.
The only bad thing about this offering is that is difficult to obtain.... it is a bottom shelf whisky, which requires one to get down on hand and knees to reach it on the bottom shelf!!!
A little difficult for some of us in our "advanced age".

Alumalina 2020.....
....off to a great start.
The entire area is looking great, the Park is trimmed and very nice.
It's only Monday and already must be 30 or more rigs here. Camp fires, small groups here and there, folks catching up with old friends, and making new friends.
The cell signal is excellent, if you need it to work. The wifi is great..... at 3 o'clock in the morning!!
Rita is here and eager to meet everyone on Friday.
Maintaining the list of attendees is always crazy at this point, but looks like around 215 rigs expected. Still plenty of sites available, all with full hook ups.
