Looks like our motorhome has had second thoughts about traveling right now. Its transmission has decided to retire after years of service. We only wish it had given proper notice, but at least it didn't quit in the middle of nowhere. Perhaps by the next gathering we will be mobile again.

Over 100 Airstreams in the park on Friday. Here's a photo from the mountain overlooking Palmetto Cove Campground (about 3 miles away).

Thanks everyone for being so welcoming today. After seeing all of your units, I'm looking forward to getting started on restoring my '63 Overlander... starting with taking the shell off!
I am looking for help so shoot me a message if you know someone with the expertise to help near update South Carolina.
Thanks again! I look forward to joining more events.

South Saluda River
Indeed, a big "Thank You" to Sandlapper and all his volunteers who pulled off a fantastic weekend.
If by chance you didn't stroll the hundred yards from the pavilion to the South Saluda River, here's a peek at what you missed:

Wow! Just a couple of new senior citizen members here. We have only been Airstream owners for 1 and 1/2 years. We were backpackers, tent campers, truck campers and owned a couple of SOB's for 25+ years. As relatively new Airstreamer's we approached Palmetto Cove and I commented to Susan," I don't know about this, too many campers and too close together." Susan said, "Let's do it for Bob and Carol Griswold, (previous owners of our 21' Sovereign)." We were guided in flawlessly. We stepped out into a narrow and long space flanked by many silver sided Airstreams. Worried about our Soft Coated Irish Wheaten Terriors, who can be way too loud and aggressive, we began to unload. Neighbors stepped in and spoke friendly, Hugh and his wife and Mike and Diane with Paula covering our back. We continued to meet neighbors and they relieved our worries. We began to share with neighbors and probably appreciated them much more than they did we and our pups. We were overwhelmed with scenery, great food, great people and unbelievable coordination because of John and Susan and the volunteers. Our simple thanks to all and while we will continue our "dry camping or boondocking", we will look forward to opportunities to share with this community of Airstreamers. TU to all! You are so awesome!

Well, I was able to capture a few images, in spite of the original plans falling thorough. But, what i have is here:

And, I think we are going to be in for a treat from the video production coming soon....not from me, but from a couple of very talented folks.

OBTW Seemore,
Thank you for access to your beautiful Airstream and your interior work. And YES, a special thanks to getting to pet your Great Dane's . You are so fortunate! Thanks again. Jack and Susan (JayNess)

John & Susan
I'd like to thank you and the Cove for a great rally this weekend. The food and festivities were only out done by the company we all shared. I'm looking forward to next year already. Again thanks for a great rally. See You Down The Road.

Somehow "thank you " doesn't seem like enough to say for all the hard work that went into putting together this fabulous rally. So well organized yet so much freedom to do what we wanted. It was so great to see our friends, the ones we see regularly plus those that we see only occasionally. Then there are the new ones we just met and hope to meet again. John and Susan, Terry and Annie you did it again and we loved it!
