Thanks Alan. I do have PB Blaster somewhere.

I did get on a ladder to look at the end of the awning. It looks like some kind of lock (I'll try to attach a photo). Never had that on my older ones... I wonder if that locks it to keep it from unrolling when stowed.

While I have the floor, I had a bad experience at a local campground. I pulled my trailer into a campground so I could get water and electricity. I was told to use pull-throughs 2, 3, or 4. I chose 4. The smell was bad, but I figured it was my piping being dry and not trapping odors. I went home for dinner and went back after dark and there was water standing on site 5. I looked for the source, and found it was the sewer connection backing up. I had hooked up the electricity (30 amp didn't work, so I used my 15 amp adapter with the 20amp receptacle on the stand), but refused to hook up anything else, and pulled it out this morning to go to a different campground. I called the owner/host (not on site) and explained, and he apologized, and said no charge for the night. Attached is a picture of the mess next door and how close my steps were to the puddle. We're in the process of disinfecting the interior today and tomorrow.

Alumalina 2014 - Map Update

Here is what will likely be the final map update. I'm sorry Susan and I won't be able to join you folks this year. We wish you a great rally and look forward to 2015.

Phil, I just fixed that same door problem on my sister's Excella. I can shed some light on that for you.

and yes, that curved thing on the awning head is a lock. Should pull out to unlock the tube, remains out during use and roll up, then locked back.

Available Site

Well it looks like the tyranny of work has created a situation where we will not be making it down this Spring...especially at a time when I need it most. Guess we'll have to wait until Fall if there is another rally. Having said that, if there is anyone on the waiting list interested in taking our site...please PM me. Have a great rally...I know you will.

Oh Roadrunner, we were so looking forward to seeing you again (and maybe even your wife). We will miss you and hope to see you in the fall.

Florida 55, Just noticed you're not coming either. Oh no, what's happening. I wanted to tell you how great your map is and how much I enjoyed the Canopener video. You do a fantastic job, with wonderful music. I really love that Kasey Musgrave - My House - perfect. Hope to meet you down the road.

We moved my mother to hospice this week. As much as we wanted to be at Alumalina, now is the time for family.

Waiting List

Hey guys,

I'm just seeing a weekend P/M notification from Roadrunner that they couldn't make it...we were on the waiting list since about January but my wife finally gave up the time off as her work place has to get someone to fill her position from outside the office. Too late for her to get the time off back now.

Just saying this so someone else can grab the spot from Roadrunner if they haven't already...maybe next year for us. I did text a friend (David) that was on the waiting list too.

Good luck Bob...and you guys have fun.

Thanks, John too for trying to secure us a spot all along. Much appreciated!

Thanks, G

Soooooo excited and ready to leave. It is supposed to snow a little here in the morning and I am so ready to get out of this cold, even if it is cold, to camp! I am bringing some cheesecake for Sat. (made by a good friend) and I will be making Collards for Fri. We will be bringing a pop-up and knowing my husband we will have just about everything but the kitchen sink! BTW does anyone want any AVON? If I have it I will bring it! I know someone likes IMARI cologne so I will bring a few things! Leaving Wed.

Got my truck nearly packed....good thing it is a long bed, 4 door, 6 wheel diesel monster, it is loaded. Rita is in the front passenger seat, strapped in. Haven't gotten to the trailer yet. Thank goodness it has 6 tires, too.

Just a reminder to bring a chair and a flashlite.
