It's hard to imagine that in Dec I stumbled across the rally, signed up and have gone through pages of this thread. It is finally warming up some here, 40's today, 50's by weeks end. I have alot to do to get ready. I have alot done as well. I just got new tires on the Airstream Sunday. I have to get outside now and do more, so I can see more as I live more. See you soon. John

John, have faith! The trees down south here are "budding up" and by the time you arrive things should look great; supposed to be 70 degrees this weekend (in Atlanta). I have said there is no prettier place in the spring as in the south.

Skylark Boomerang Formica

Not meaning to turn this into a "for sale" thread, but I have a 4' x 8' sheet of Skylark Boomerang Formica that sells for $300 and I can bring it with me if someone wants to buy it (I'll even accept more). I didn't want to tote it around at the campground if no-one was interested, and I'm not going to mail it, so let me know if there are any takers. It's the one on the right.

I read on the park web site that the park store sells firewood.
I also ran across some verbiage on the site that they don't want you to bring firewood because of some wormwood beetle infestation. I couldn't find it today though.

Have Honda 3000is (mega quiet) generator will be setting up where John needs it. Has 4 circuits 120 volt 20 amp per. We can power lights, etc up until park curfew hour 10 pm I think. I have one set of 6 globe lights (60watts per light) they are 30 ft long with hook/hangers. They put out good light, but we can use more if anyone has. you bring the lights we'll have the power. Will bring my wagon to make generator mobile from site 29. We pulled our gear out of the attic the other day. Lantern, Coleman stove, etc. Going to make sure it all works this weekend.

Since we will be tent camping on site 22, thanks to the generosity of GCinSC, I have been watching the temps closely. It has been a cold, wet winter here in Charleston that won't let go. Our sleeping bags are rated down to 40 degrees. We may end up camping in the back of Hub's (Beetlebob) old Volvo wagon if the temps get that low at night.

Looking forward to fun and relaxation!

Wire wrap sea glass

Hi, I am the other half of GreggH and I create sea glass jewelry. At other rallies I have instructed classes making pieces. If anyone is interested I would be glad to host a small group Saturday. I will bring some wire and pieces of sea glass with me or better yet bring a piece you've found that will be more personal. If interested please advise so I know how many supplies I need to bring.
If you would like to see some examples you can go to my facebook page Island Tides Sea Glass. If anyone has any hand tools for jewelry making that they can bring it would be appreciated. See you soon. Cynthia

Didn't they say that about Eddie last year?
Speaking of which, how is Eddie? Or how was he?...

A little bit more FYI

There is a firewood alert pertaining to the Emerald ash borer. It is for wood brought in from outside SC. Honestly, no one will be checking. Bring it, burn it, if you want to. The problem comes from wood left behind, allowing the parasite to escape.

In the maintenance category:
I will have my Shurline Tongue Weight Scale available if you are curious about the tongue weight of your trailer. The paved sites are codusive to a good measurement.

Poor man's propane leak detector, aka soapy water. We have a squirt bottle of this hi tech solution to check for leaks.

I have a pack of nylon flatwashers to shim up a sagging door. Only takes a minute, can make a big difference with a troublesome door.

We will have a torque available if you want to check torque on lug nuts or anything else.

Also, sockets and wrenches that fit the big hitch head bolts if you need to adjust your hitch. Remember the nice paved sites, helps with leveling measurements.

I will have some of the almost famous Alumalina T shirts to sell for ten bucks, which covers their cost. Large and X large, some white w/blue logo, some blue w/white logo.

Rita. She will be there Sat afternoon to entertain anyone willing to stop by. If you would like to help this poor gal, she is easy and likes the cheap stuff. She is already loaded with 5 gallons.

Sounds like fun. I will attend. Don't have any sea glass, wish I did but have looked and never find any.

I haven't seen a menu update since post 565. Here's our contributions. We will bring some sausage patties for the Saturday breakfast. We will also be bringing a Central New York specialty called Salt Potatos. The potatos can be cooked on any day that our wonderful host deems necessary.

I also have 2 folding tables and 1 easy up type tent. Also a couple of extension cords.

See ya'll there
Tami & Ricky

Not to try to out do your professional soap bubbles but I have a Tif-880a combustible gas detector I am happy to bring as well. It can also check for carbon monoxide leaks in furnaces for folks with older trailes like we do.

If anybody has a later-model trailer with the hinge pins walking out of the hinge, I can bring some supplies, and demonstrate my 30 cent solution to this problem.
