Of course. We will be leaving between 2-3pm, our experience with traffic on the way down will dictate our departure time. The campground people already know we won't be spending Saturday night there, and told us we could give our site to whoever wanted it.
Just because we are leaving on the late side, doesn't mean you have to wait for us to leave before you show up. I'm sure there's a spot you can park until we clear out.
Maggie has started a separate thread about Doug, and how he is doing, here: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f161...ml#post1426400

Folks,
This is the PDF reciepe for Maggie's DO bread. It's so sad that Doug and Maggie cannot be with us for Alumalina, they will be missed I know from all of the pic's and work she did to perfect this bread it must be darn good.
So if you're bringing a DO lets get them fired up and make some of Maggie's bread and lets show her our DO loaves.
Gary
Please forgive me if any of my words seem hard to read cause they were hard to type.

Folks,
As you have read there are a few changes but we have a replacement DO baker to step in and try to fill in for Maggie, announcing The Alumalina Dough Boy, Chillpoints. Take a look at his bread back at #696 and you'll see his efforts. Bring your DO's and prepare to mix, stir, rise, knead, bake and enjoy.
Thanks Jon for helping.

Thank me or kick me.....
Called the park today just to check on things. Patricia, the jewel at the other end of the phone, said they didn't know whether to pat me on the back or kick me in the .... They have been very busy tending to our needs at an otherwise slow time there. I tried to persuade her to give me a complimentary nite for all the business I have sent their way. No dice.
So if you check in and Patricia is there, please give her a pat on the back. Even tho she is "just doing her job", she has gone above and beyond to help. Always cheerful, always helpful.

I am so sorry to hear about Doug and your current struggles. As many have said before, You and your family are in our prayers. Having survived Cancer twice I can speak to the power of prayer and love. Both of which you are sure to get here.
As I told Gary, I certainly am not one who will be able to step into your shoes and certainly do not have the togetherness to type everything out as you have so graciously done. I tend to be a cook who flies more by the seat of my britches. I am not sure that is what people want to learn. But we will certainly bring our DO supplies and make come good dishes and hope that we can get some bread to turn out such that you would be proud.
For the people who are interested in learning about DO cooking, take a few minutes to check out some of the videos posted previously. I recommend you use caution as you can quickly lose a couple of hours seeing the different techniques and recipes. (ask me how I know)
Together we will hold Doug and Maggie in the light and break some bread together. Looking forward to a great weekend.
Jon
My Grandfather did work for KRAFT most of his career. I guess I will have to find a Pillsbury apron if I am going to be a dough boy .

Now, we are going to be coming Friday, and will be bringing along the air conditioner (needs gasket, it's flat from being installed), the Fantastic Vent, and I'll probably drag the other two factory vents along, in case anybody decides they need them, and we can haggle about price. There is also a range and range hood, and some other odds and ends from the parts department for delivery. I'll also be bringing some door prizes with me. When the parts manager was figuring how many door prizes to send along, he asked how many rigs would be there. I told him, and he sat there for a moment... We'll see how many I get sent with.
I am also pre-mixing some of my famous (or infamous) mudslides, all we will have to do is add ice. We'll be bringing some Krispy Kremes, possibly an extra box to partly make up for the lack of cheese grits.
I'll have Marie keep her eyes peeled along the road for any additional candidates for the Possum Loaf.

Thanks for bringing the air conditioner, I have my $100 set aside for it already. I'm going to bring along a few left over miscellaneous camper parts and since I haven't caught any possums yet, I'm bringing Spam - which is a known possum substitute (and may actually have possum in it).

Terry. If those vents are not spoken for, I'd sure like them.

Flea Market
We plan to have a table set up for the swap-n-shop, so anyone with left overs or any wares will have a place to sell or swap them. I have a few things myself.

Just heard about Doug. Di and I have added him to our prayers, not that he will need it with your tender care. Hope to see you both in the fall..

Probably. We may stop in Augusta on the way, play the course, make sure the course is up to standards for the Masters.
