The Dragon is located at site #9. If you are standing on the road looking towards the beach, he may make himself visible. That is unless I really did frighten him off. Jim

We will have wireless with us if you end up needing it.

I'm awake now. The new mudslide is yummy! Of course being up for 36 hours probably added to the effect of the new mix!

Bertha is unwinterized, cleaned and loading process will start soon. I have to pick surprise cake up Thursday afternoon.

Found out Friday I am off next Friday so we will be there Friday morning.

Don't forget to call ODM for Terry to bring your orders with us.

Can't wait to see everyone.

Marie

I was dewinterizing Bertha, and I noticed this oddity in the process. I know what is wrong, and it ties in with one of the programs at the rally.
Anybody want to hazard a guess? (hint: it's not Scotty revving things up to "she canna take anna more, Cap'n!")

It looks like you took the photo with the wrong focal length. Maybe a Macro setting on the camera would have allowed this picture to be in focus.

Phil, the high voltage had Terry wired up, hard to hold the camera still.

So looking forward to be going there! Please tell us what we can help with/bring/do! Mudslides are one of my favorites and B-52's. Really want to help out and bring some things that are needed. Assign something to us please!

Terry,

Wow, kinda scary looking.

Here's my slightly assisted guesses.

Actual power company supply voltage is too high. By taking a reading at a completely different outlet on the same meter feed, if the power is high, possible higher feed from power company. If power reads about 120VAC, then: Drum roll please-------

Open neutral he guesses with a slight did I get it right expression?

Kinda amazing on your untimely timing. At least you get to trouble shoot a week before wheels rolling.

Been wrong before, today might add one more to the that list.

Gary

No, it's a condition of the trailer. Power at the 30a outlet in the garage is 118 v.

I await your revelation of said condition.

If the feed coming in is 118 volts, then the higher voltage could be caused by an inverter issue (if used, I don't know).

I was curious whether my trailer (1997 34' that I am buying) might have an inverter to allow 120 volt devices while boondocking (battery only).

I cannot think of any other simple thing that would crank up the voltage unless it's running through a regulating transformer (buck/boost). I would have said the meter was wrong, but you kinda' nullified that by posting the 118v reading in the garage.

On a 220 system, an open neutral can cause wild voltage swings on outlets that share a neutral, but I don't believe any 30a trailer feed is 220v.

I am also curious about the cause and prevention.

Looking forward to Alumalina. John has done a great job getting this organized. Since this is a Carolina event maybe we should all bring our favorite Beach Music to play at our gatherings. Maybe John and Susan can show everyone the SC State Dance, The Shag. With the name of Sandlapper certainly they know how to Shag. If you don't know what Carolina Beach Music is or how to Shag, then maybe we can share this with you to enhance your experience.
See everyone this week end!

Dave, are you going to be selling those copies? If so, what are you asking for a copy? It's in my amazon cart right now.
