Heck yea Bob, come on down, we'd love to have ya. Last year we had Penna, RI, Ill., even Canada, and we only had to whip a couple of them into shape.. Kidding of course. They don't call it "Southern hospitality" for nothing. We love everyone. We're even thinking of having a seminar on how to talk suthern.

We jumped in early and secured our site, at the end where miss lily has a little more room to roam and not so likely to disturb others.

Thanks Maggie for picking up my slack. Been off grid at our favorite nearby SP since Thursday. Barely get cell service there, and I don't have that satellite thing.

Yep, March 15 is blast off. Like last year, the theme park is not yet open so we get the $30 rate. A week or so later, when it opens, the rate jumps to $50. That figured in to having the fall edition in Marion back in Oct. The park was still open, and 50 bucks is just too much . To keep the rally in Charlotte, March becomes a necessity.

And, March can be a beautiful time in NC.

We had some weather issues last year but then, those could happen at any time of the year.

As for the rate, if you have AAA there is a discount.

OK, Di and I are in again (as if we would miss it). Looking forward to seeing all our old/and new friends. Will be making reservation this week. Our last outing was the Highland Haven gathering and can't wait till spring. We wish we were able to get to the Alumilina fall event, it sounds like it was real winner.

Now if the weather will just cooperate a little better for this one. Last years hail really had us worried , but the rainbows are awesome!

Sure wish we could join y'all again, really enjoyed it last time - even under the awning in a downpour for upper - the rainbow made up for the wet feet!

Unfortunately based on present planning, we will be in Tucson this year when you're cooking up that great grub!

Well Brian & Connie, we will miss our Canadian friends for sure. Can you send a fill in so we can be an international rally once again?? If I couldn't be in Charlotte in March, Tucsan looks pretty darn good. Have a safe and happy winter down there.

Susan and I reserved site 155, same as last year. We hope they will throw in a site for tent city, Rally Central, like they did last year. Most likely they will, just haven't been able to track down our main contact yet.

The campground folks are very nice and accommodating, and will know where to put you when you call. Just mention the Airstream Rally. The rate is $29.99/nite, full hook up. They may even have an additional discount for AAA and others. Just ask. Anyone can help you but "Kathy with a K" is the main contact. She is a jewel.

The next several weeks get mighty busy for everyone, and before you know it , it'll be Jan 1. Then, in a blink, it will be March and Rally Time. The park will not fill up but our block of sites may, which is a good thing since it means a good sized crowd has shown up. There will be sites available in nearby rows.

If you are on the fence and it doesn't work out, you can always cancel. If you are still on the fence and don't want to commit, there will be sites available the day of, but perhaps not in our row. Last year we filled up our 2 rows with 20 rigs. This year, maybe we fill up 3 rows. For planning purposes it is helpful to have a head count. We need to know how many possums to prepare . A RSVP on the rally board is a big help.

There is a map available of the campground but I haven't a clue how to pull it up and post it. Perhaps someone here can help with that. Thanks in advance.

While we will not be able to join the fun this spring due to schedule conflicts, we will continue to sport our way cool shirts and look forward to the fall Alumalina gathering.

We will also be looking for pictures of the spring gathering so be sure to pack your cameras.

We will miss you folks in March. I know how it is to have a full schedule. Hope we get to see you all before the fall gathering. Perhaps a campout up your way this summer to beat some SC heat.

Guess by now in the NC mountains it is time to put the Airstream to bed for a long winters nap. I for one hope winter is short. I've got spring fever before winter even gets started.
