The Farmer's Almanac is calling for a warmer and dryer than normal April.
It has pretty much been on the money for this winter.

Sounds like so much fun! We are going to try to nail the 50's glam look! Will There be an Elvis sighting?!
Carol, we miss you and Ray, and hope you can make it, but understand if you can't. Hope we'll see you sometime this year!

Our goal is to have a working kitchen sink, and maybe even a stove, before the rally. Need the snow to melt away soon!

Regina and I just changed our maybe to a YES!
I'll be bringing deviled eggs for the Saturday night food fest, no shellfish though.
I turn 65 on May 7 and Regina is retiring on May 8. At which time we are packing our Airstream and heading out..... I doan know where, east to Florida? West to New Mexico? North to Alaska?
One time we took a trip west and decided we'd go as far west as $500 worth of gas took us, then turn aroundand come back. We made it just a little bit past Tulsa. LOL. That old suburban was a GAS HOG!
Regina's planning on riding her motorcycle down. Cassville is just down the road a piece from Springfield!
We are looking forward to it.
It's giving me an incentive to get our taxes done early!

Must confess, Jim and I have already camped twice with the Heart Of Texas Camping unit in Feb and March and It was fun, fun! But, we can't wait for a little warmer weather and hopefully it will be nice at Roaring River in just 3 weeks! We will be going to Arkansas for a couple weeks after so we will be pumped! We're checking out food from the 50's for Sat. night, so, we'll see what that brings...who knew Tuna Casserole was popular then??? Looking forward to seeing our Midwest friends again!

I'm so sorry to have to cancel our RSVP. Just got a new job and have to work...at a tax office no less! Sad to miss meeting you all and flaming together

Wen id the Mid West Rally? We're retiring at the end of MAy and heading to Gilette for the WBCCI convention at the end of June. HEading to the Black Hills and East to NY after that.

All you past attendees will surely remember Jan Nute, wife of Ray from Ava, MO.? To know her is to love her, right? We just talked to Don McDowell and he told Jim, and I think this is the right story, Jan had surgery on veins in her neck a while back and during surgery had several strokes and is now recovering in a rehab hospital. I don't know where or anything but I thought many of you would want to know. I have their home address and am sending a card, but if any of you want it, PM me. I'm sure she would appreciate our thoughts and prayers!
And by the way, Don and Jerry are coming too!
