2nd annual Newport Seafood & Wine Fest Rally
Hi all ! With the new year here I am looking forward to my first rally of 2007.
The 2nd annual Newport Seafood and Wine Festival Rally !
The rally location is at Southbeach State Park, just south of Newport. There is electric and water at the sites and a dump station a the park. The park fees are $17 per site.
The date is February 23,24 & 25. Entrance fees to the fest are :
Friday : $10
Saturday : $13
Sunday : $7
Friday and Sunday are the best days to go.
I have been told that there will be a bus scheduled to make rounds from the campground to the fest. I will confirm that as time gets closer.
I will reserve sites soon so don't be shy about signing up ! If you know you can come please let me know asap ! Thanks.
There will be a potluck Saturday evening at 6pm. I will provide a potroast.
I'll need drinks, desserts, side dishes and a couple other main courses.
This will go on rain or shine, unless it gets really bad.
Don't forget to sign up on the rally calendar posting - see you there!

Hi Chris,
Have a great time!
I wish I was going. I have 3 windows and 1 door leak which I can't repair until the rain stops. Unless you can predict nice weather for the trip down from Seattle.

You know at Trout Lake last year, Chris waited until he got to the rally to flood his trailer! No leak can quite compare to that! Come on out anyway!

We'll make a big pan of mac 'n cheese (the real stuff, cheddar, gruyere etc, - no blue box) to go with the pot roast and JD's Pie.
Chris, thanks for putting this together and choosing a menu that goes so well with merlot!

Okay - Count my family in! I'll duct tape the leaky spots.
There will be 5 of us (Tim, Me, Preston-7, Blake-5 and Cali-3)
We'll bring salad and dressing.
Is Chris booking the camping site? I'll need electric hook up, please. Don't have the Wave8 installed yet.
Cheers / Can't wait to see everyone again.

I'm happy I change my mind too.
I'll be duct taping the outside. All 3 window leaks are at the same corner, top right - where the window crank is. Strange????
See you at the rally.

Hi Karen, Yes I am booking the sites on Monday. I wanted to get a rough idea of how many I needed to reserve.

Jeez - just whern I started to get excited, I realized you weren't talking about Newport, RI. I did think you all were pretty bold, though.

We are bold - it rains all the time on the Oregon coast - at least that's what we tell folks who tourists... they're more inclined to go somewhere else....
