Does anyone have experience removing the mixing valve on a hot water heater?

If we can’t get it off, we will need help during the campout.

First problem we have is getting the mixing valve off the tank. Super humans put it on.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone. We'll be bringing an Asian chicken salad as our dish for Saturday night's extravaganza.

Just a reminder to those of you coming for the first time, bring a filter with you if you use the campground spigots to fill your fresh water tank. I'm not sure if it has changed but the water supply here used to have sediment in it. I typically fill at home and drive with a full tank. I found this out in the early years of the rally when I ran low on home water and filled a jerry can at the close by spigot. I used a filter and after 3 cans (21 gallons total) the filter was almost clogged. Don't know any of you regular attendees have ever filled at the newer dump station as you first enter the park. Not sure if the sediment is up at that supply or if it is just in the campgrounds itself.

I just filled my tank with the final rinse after sanitizing and will do the final fill Thursday morning.

Jack

Cookies are just baked. Had to sample and they are delicious as always.
Pooch has his own cookies which Bob is making today since it is pouring rain at this time.
See everyone soon.

Our chickens are pooping out eggs at an astounding rate this year... I'm going to bring a cooler full of the freshest (all washed and dated). Look us up in P-14 Thursday afternoon or Friday morning if you'd like some (freebies). Whatever's not taken will find a home in the big steel bin at the front of the campground...Click image for larger version

Well... We're going to have to go slumming along with the rest of the Airstream crowd this year. The Born Free had a leaking transmission cooler line, and is sitting at Midwest Frame and Axle in Iowa City waiting for parts. Unless it's road-ready by 10 am, we'll end up having to bring the Interstate this year. *sigh* We're just SO embarrassed.
