Is there still space available for full hookup for me and my 28 ft. Flying Cloud at the Fall Colors Rally?

We're Full Up
Folks, my wife and I just returned from a week of Airstreaming in Acadia National Park, Maine and I had a slew of reservation forms and rally fees waiting for me when I got home.
With this last batch of forms and deposits we are full up and cannot accept anymore reservations. If you come and did not send in your rally fees we cannot promise you a full hookup site and those that did send in deposits will be gauranteed a full hookup site.
We're looking forward to hosting a great rally for all attendees.

Seems like back in May or so I told you that you needed to figure out how to expand that pavilion / clubhouse...

Jason,
The pavilion isn't the limiting factor. It's the number of sites in the park proper. Like I said in an earlier post I would love to host a boon docking rally across the creek where we could probably have at least two to three double wagon wheels of trailers. Maybe I can get that in the works for next year's rally. The only issue is in order to get to the main part of the park you either have to go back out to route 66 and come back in the driveway or get your feet wet crossing the stream. We could always use the old Harry Ferguson (before he met Massey) tractor and ferry people across as needed. But then again if we had a true boon docking rally I don't think we would need the main part of the park.
As for expanding the pavilion, maybe you'd like to make a contribution and we could open the Jason and Adrea Grendhal wing?

Wow. If you guys have a tractor from before Massey and Ferguson got together, it's likely older than most folks that it would be ferrying across the creek.
As much as I love your rally, the only way you're getting more money from me is to raise the per night fee for the rally. All of my spare money goes into my Airstreams, and even some money that isn't spare. Good thing my mortgage payment is direct withdrawal!

Old Tractors Rule!
Jason,
I think it's a '40 or '48, the data plate above the steering column says "Harry Ferguson" so it's pretty old and still running like a top. I like working with that tractor because it reminds me of my grandpa's Ford 8N.
And I understand what you're saying about discretionary funds . It seems like the only thing that isn't going up is our wages .

I guess that's what makes the fall colors rally so neat. It's a secluded setting where everyone can appreciate Airstreams of all ages; undisturbed by the public. Some are camping in aluminum tents, some are in brand new Airstreams. We all gather in the clubhouse for coffee, for food, for fun, for fire, for socializing. If it was too big, we'd be too spread out. The current layout forces us to bump into new people and to say, "excuse me" on the way out and "Hi, how are you, I'm <insert name here>" on your way back in.
By the way, I know I previously said that I do not "require" a playground view this year. But, my second brain (Andrea) has advised me that we should have at least a site which the kids do no have to cross the driveway in order to reach the playground. I think that opens up a few more site options than before. I hope that you can accommodate this otherwise I will be responsible for watching the kids 100% of the time through the weekend.

Kirk,
You can come if you want to, you would be the trailer that would make us full and if you want to come you will most definitely have full hookups. Just let me know one way or the other.

A question for those attending and those organizing. Scrapple? Anyone want scrapple? I will be glad to put it out if some want me to. I just need to know so I can get the good stuff. Of course there will be the bacon and the sausage links everyone seems to love. I will not supply the but would be glad to fry some up if anyone brings it. Liver mush, liver pudding and all those Southern things fall into that same catagory.

I've never had scrapple, but if there's some there I'd likely try it.

Hi All...
I am a local person to this event in Western PA..I am looking to buy an Airstream when I retire, which is just down the road for me...If a local person came to this event would they be welcome if they did NOT own a trailer already to just walk around and ask questions and gawk?
I have a meeting for business right down the road from this event on Friday Oct 7 and I would love to get an idea of the lifestyle...
I see some posts saying you may want to be "away from the public". I can understand and respect that as when I do retire all I want is a few years of PEACE AND QUIET.
O Well...you will all LOVE Pennsylvania....the leaves are really starting to turn, the weather is great this time of year.....
I will be in the Gas Company truck if you see me there...
I am a 55 yr old woman who CANT WAIT TO RETIRE and I want an Airstream Trailer...never actually been in one, but for some reason I was bit BAAAD by the bug in the last year... and I read these forums religiously and DREAM about the day.... I'm sure some of you have felt the same way at one time or another...!!!!
This event will be the closest to my home since I became interested.......!
Have fun and be safe!!!!!!

I am 56 and just bought my Airstream and this will be our first rally. You are welcome to hang with us and tour our Airstream even though it is an Airstream motorhome and not a trailer you may like it. Steve G
