2011 AIR National Rally - Airstreams in the Wilds!

Just to be completely transparent:

The Wilds increased the "Parking Fee" in an effort to generate revenue. I'm in know way going to fault them for that.

The Wilds is an extrodinary place that unfortunatly has taken a major funding hit. I can't imagine what it cost to operate, but I know my $15 per night might just feed a giraffi or wild horse that night.

To clarify from my perspective:

I know not what my wife has paid for. If I didn't write the check, schedule the payment, our send the paypal, then I think it's free. Never trust anything I say without hard data. My memory sucks, especially 2 minutes ago, let alone 2 years ago.

Do not let the ramblings from my poor recollection deter you from attending the Wilds. It was a great time 2 years ago. Maybe the fact that I remember so little of it is a sign of how much fun I had there.

If nothing else, maybe all these posts will keep the thread at the top of the portal for a while. I hope other people were as lost as me and will now wake up and ask their better half to clean up the mess and register like Andrea has for us. I want to see the wilds happen...especially since we've already bought safari tickets.

Dan, we are sorry it has come to this. This rally is such a great idea. I still cant figure out how it did not expolde with RSVP's. Is there anything we can do to save it?

Sorry to hear of this Dan, you and I have spoken and we said we would prolly be a last minute add in and would most likely be camping at the state park but would come hang with you guys Hope this can be saved. It seems like there are many Rally's this year that aren't getting the membership turnout.

Well, Is no news good news? I cant figure out why there is such low turnout for this one. What went wrong?

I'm sorry to have to officially announce that this rally is postponed
indefinitely. Thank you to those that supported this effort.
I do encourage all to please consider visiting the Wilds and experiencing all they have to offer. You won't be disappointed.
I look forward to camping with everyone down the road.
