Yikes Cat. Sorry Jackson Center wasn't more helpful.
Apparently there is often a "you're on your own" philosophy there.
But like Bob said above, you may enjoy having a vinyl floor after all.
And as you said, you get to redecorate.
We'll find an appropriate beverage to "toast" your new floor when you arrive.
Too bad Lee's not feeling well...hopefully next time. Maybe she can tow by then.
(Hey ya gotta have goals, right?) Feel better Lee.
Travel safe everyone. There is some fun to be had!
Cheers,
L.

Well, we talked to Jackson Center, and they agreed to replace the carpet pad only and not the carpet...I can't believe how cheap they are. For those who are in the know, we can't risk to have mold building up from a wet carpet, even they "tried" to dry it out. So we are going to put down vinyl on top of the plywood subfloor, then add new carpet tiles on the area around the bed.

I can't believe the behavior they have developed lately. THey are getting cheap on the penny to save the dollar for the bottom line. All the time hurting the reputation which will affect thier long term income.
I am glad you will be able to make it.
LET's GET THIS PARTY STARTED!
I expect to be at Lake Casitas this afternoon. Unless Janet chains me down in Aptos.

Being that the damage, in your trailer, was caused by a warranty item, they should replace or repair everything that got damaged.
I had planned to drop Lee off at the women's rally, but she has been too sick to go; Maybe next time. For those who get to go, have a great time.

Hi Bob,
That's what we think too, but they said the carpet is not damaged just wet and that they can be dry out...yada yada yada... anyway, just to have them replaced the pad required some arm twisting which John had to call JC himself. Well, we never really like the carpet there too (just in the bedroom), so we'll be picking the vinyl either today or tomorrow, it'll take them a few days to get here anyway.
How's Lee doing? Hope she is feeling better. If she does, we would love to have her at the rally even for a day! The potluck is Saturday as usual, starting with Happy Hour, if she can make it, give me a call. I will PM you my number.
Cheers, =^^=cat

I am not coming with the new floor yet, just bare plywood subfloor, since it's going to take at least a week to order...etc. But nothing can stop us from a " toast"!!!! You know, I really need one...or two...no one's counting right???

yeah, despite the unsatisfactory answer from JC, I am excited about redecorating. We'll get a simple vinyl for the base, then I'll get cool carpet tile to cover the area around the bed. TT really likes to have some carpet areas that she can lay around on. Hopefully, we'll get it done by the end of the month.
Heard from Uwe about some of the cool things he's planning to do with your new baby. I am so envy. Can't wait to take a tour after it's done. Hope we can see you soon. We'll have a "toast" for you.

I have arrived!
Ladies,
While you all were posting this afternoon I was driving. This afternoon around 16:30 I pulled into my camping spot. Yeah I know I am a little early. Who cares!
We have a fine set of spots! However this is a little trouble in paradise.
All of us on the lake side, even numbers in Fox section DO NOT have Sewer.
Some of vintage ladies may have a small problem. The odd side of Fox does have sewer.
I am headed into town in a little bit to get some supplies. The bugs are out!
See you all in a couple of days!

Fox area. Full hook ups are called "executive" sites and are odd numbered, directly across from partial hookup ("deluxe" sites).

Sorry the info. about the sites was so buried... And glad to hear you made it to a warm, snow-free respite for you and Sarah!
You mention bugs. Mosquitos or just the little gnat guys? Do we need to bring our cintronella and Deet? Seems a little early but there is a lot of water in the area, being a lake and all.
Just unearthed some knitting needles--now to get the outfit.
See you all soon,
J

Yeah for Michelle!
So glad you have docked safely at Lake Casitas! Thanks for the heads up on the sewer hook ups and the bugs.
Sewer hookup is not a problem for me since I have a blackwater and (external) gray water tank. But, I will come armed with my bug arsenal and my retro fly-swatter!
Enjoy the peace and quiet before all the girls decend upon you Michelle!

Welcome back Michelle...glad you're holding down the fort for us.
How are the sites besides the bugs? Large? Trees? Views?
Other amenities?
No worries about the sewer.
We'll just run our extra long sewer hoses across the street and into our neighbors' sites.
We are Trailer Trash right?

Janet,
They look like large nats but they swarm. I did not get a good enough look. I just put bug spray on the list.

Oh Yeah.
road report.
IF you are coming from the north and west....
CA 150 is slow and curvy but very doable with a smaller trailer. I took 150 due to heavy traffic on 101. I did not drive 33...
I took a drive into Ojai. We have shopping! lots of it. Looks like high end stuff though. A Spa and lots of places to eat. I did not see any wineries but I am sure Laurel will find many!

We have medium size trees. Realitivly large sites and a nice view of the lake.

You can try but it would look like a scene from RV . It is up hill. You could always put a little in the hose and walk it uphill. I want to see that if you try it!

Oh,
One more thing.... When you come to Fox section pass the entrance and take the next one. It is labeled as a picnic area.
Coming in the first one puts all of us on the lake side pointing the wrong way for backing in to our spots.
