Anybody ever hear from Valhalla2Go after the '06 rally? Their '68 Overlander was one of the artsiest refurbs I've seen!

SOB Policy
Refresh my memory on the SOB Policy... do they go one row over?
Or do we wrap them up in tin foil?

From what I remember...... SOB's just hang out at the fringe. I will not be an SOB this year!!! Yea!!!!!! But I can get industrial size rolls of aluminum foil if need be.

Vintage Rally
The reason I asked about SOBs is because we are also slated to attend a different rally later in June, in a different club.
There do seem to be a few Airstreams there that we don't have HERE. (on the forums)
But since I am not 100% sure who has what sort of unit, I might inadvertantly be discriminating!
What if they don't have an Airstream BRAND?

Bring them anyway. If it is old, it is cool and that will fit in.

There is no restriction on who attends. Come in whatever you own. This will be a great rally for those of you who are Airstream wanna be's since there will be an open house for those who wish to participate in showing their units.

hi jack
have you got the dates set and the area in moraine view selected?
is the plan to be in the same set of sites or is something different in the works?
is the rally for the full weekend this year or are some of you leaving early to camp elsewhere?
thanks for the updates...

Referring back to an earlier post, SOB's are on the ends of the line. But that was way back in the day...
BTW I still have my ID card, site sign and key chain from my first Midwest Rally. Also have some of the wind thingies that Ron was giving away.

2007 Moraine View Forums Rally
It looks like I am going to be able to make it this year. Even if bad weather causes a school year extension, I am close enough to drive in from Morraine View to work if necessary. As much as I would like to bring my Overlander this year, the rally is so close to the time that my school year is over that I will likely bring the Minuet as it is immediately road-ready since it made the trip to Salem, OR for the Interantional Rally last summer.
I will be watching this thread, and looking forward to seeing everyone again!
Kevin

Yep check out the first post in this thread. Do not reserve anysites until I give you the ok. I need to talk to the Moraine folks prior to me giving you all the okay to start the reservation letters.
The rally has always been a full weekend. It's just the fact that some folks start leaving on Sunday at earlier times due to distance to drive and things they need to do at home.
I'll work with the Moraine folks to use the same area. As like the previous first 4 years of this event, it is a first come first served. Last year was the first year I started to become concerned that we might fill all the reserved sites. On the other hand there are lots of non-reservable sites on the campgrounds. My advice is that if you can't make the committment to reserve ahead, plan to get there on Thursday to claim one of the non-reservable sites. Many of us will get there on Thursday just to get another day in.
As far as anything going on after Moraine View, who knows. Some folks went on to Mississipi Palicades last year. Our plans were to go also, but Patty hurt her back in Bloomington and was in pretty much pain by Saturday.
Stay tuned, I hope to have something to tell you all by this week end.
Jack

dates are on the calendar
Glad the dates are set looking forward to being there again this year. Laurie may have to be in Chicago the following 2 weeks so it would work out well to hit the rally and drop her off. I think I will make 2 blue berry dump cakes this year.

It'll be here before you know it.
In the meantime, to old mother nature...bring it on! I'm up for a good blizzard. Got my snowblower all tuned up, enough gas to last a week or so, and a port generator in case we lose power.

Danged tree huggers! (Isn't it their fault?) Computer radar shows it coming to a stop soon for you. More precip headed in here from the west tonight -- maybe even rain ...
At least the weekend was warm enough for the frozen slush to drop off my truck and make a mess in the garage.
