What's the quote from Animal House - "Well were out of here anyway - lets have a PARTY - TOGA TOGA TOGA".
"Triple secret probation", I knew you were coming long before you posted. It has to be - you had to get your Daisy FIX. She will be in her new coach, tail patting with her smile on.
Pot luck sounds great, so much food - so little time.

Silverhobby, I got lucky. This past Sunday a new hire, not even on the schedule yet, was bemoaning the fact that she had a 12hr week over Christmas, would do ANYTHING to get rid of it. AhHA, I went in for the kill! So I've got a week of nightshift over Christmas and will be free Dec. 31st through January 7. GREAT!
Thanks Devoman and moosetags, I appreciate your hospitality. Yes, Mom will be along. Even though she doesn't venture out into the campground, she enjoyed the last rally and is looking forward to this one. It will be late when we get in Tuesday, so I'll probably get in touch with ya'll Wednesday sometime.
A-Merry-Can, Clancy Boy, it will be great to see all of you and your family again.

Somebody needs to grab up sit #163 to give us continuity. We would hate to see some MOHO from New Jersey in the midst of all that alumium.

I'll go by there tomorrow and see what the deal is on site #163. Apparently some poor soul doesn't know what they're geeting into.

Speaking of vintage, I noticed on the reservation that stakes aren't allowed in the grass due to underground utilities. Anyone have ideas on how to put up a vintage style awning without stakes? or enough trees close by?

Some lead weights?
Blocks?
Milk Jugs filled with sand/water?
Aluminum Beer Kegs?
That is really poor planning on their part, no stakes at a campground?
From the looks of sites...most of the space under awning area is concrete.

I love the thought of a level site, practically unheard of in Tennessee. I knew there was something about Florida that I missed, just didn't know how much until I got an Airstream.
I don't want to stake any further out than the edge of the concrete picnic table pad. Surely they don't have utilities buried under a concrete pad. Great thoughts everyone. Concrete blocks may be an option, but aluminum beer kegs would go with the decor. Bucket-o-rocks . . . . rocks, hmmm, could pick some up in every state I pass through on the way down. Sounds like something I saw in a movie once about a long, long trailer!

A lot of those campers had tie downs on their awnings staked to the ground. Some of them some distance from the edge of the paito.
