Tally
We are now up to 72 people so far.
You know..I have never attended a WBCCI rally before and I know this is just a pinch of what they can do.It would really be cool to go to one probably next year when I get a chance again in November.
Hundreds and hundreds of people and Airstreams.
What a sight that would be.I probably would not know what to do.

Dreaming
This may be too difficult a dream but I have to ask - Is there any way some of us could all meet in a large parking lot somewhere and get as big a group picture as possible? - I would like to have one of those for the scrap book like they had in the grand old days of Airstreaming. Just a thought for those of us leaving on Sunday to bunch up for a photo.
Let me know if you want to.

Same here
I was thinking the same thing also but kept thinking if this would be ok with others as well.
Maybe one of the tall SOB owners will let us use there rooftop to take an arial view of everyone.
Hey.How about during the raffle when most everyone is together?
Just a thought.

I think that's a great idea, actually a must. After all, this is the FIRST Annual Florida Can Opener. At the 23rd Annual Florida Can Opener there is bound to be a historian who should be able to produce a grand group shot when someone asks, "What was it like back then?"
We may have to hire Florida Power & Light to bring a cherry picker bucket so someone could get high enough up to get us all in the shot.

I am using a photo application that helps make awesome panoramas - which I will try to use for a group photo, although I'm new to it and still working out the kinks. Used it for a panorama in Death Valley - still trying to figure out how to get it into a jpeg or bitmap form where it could be more readily shared. The program is called Autopano Pro - if anyone has experience they could share, that would be awesome.
I love the idea of getting a group photo - the challenge is getting everyone together - not only space, but a coordinated effort. Unless there is an unused runway nearby... Perhaps Sunday morning is the best time - with more likely to be hooked up?

OK, after about 4,000 missed settings on this application, I found a way to make an image. This photo (may be hard to see) was taken as perhaps 8-10 photos, and this pano application blends them into a panorama. It is very cool. Anyway, by example, this image below is from Death Valley and represents probably about 160' of view. We could do something similar at the rally to trick a picture getting as many of us as possible. Worst case, we could get a group photo of all of us in fromt of someone's AS (or 2...).

Brad that would be so cool! I have one from Tin Can Tourists and I love it. Doug Kiester stood on a truck and shot the group from overhead. To position ourselves he told everyone to have a clear view of him and it worked! I bet Sunday would be a great time, after breakfast-I want BACON and probably many cups of coffee. You want us in our flamingo/Airstream pjs? And take one at the raffle/pot luck too. (the set can be a before and after series (you all do mornings? haha) and twice the chance to catch the most of us.

Those of you without flamingos please step to the rear of the photo shoot.

I don't know the area - but there must be a large store parking lot near by. We could get several unts and as many of the people as possible together for a great photo - even do it there in the park at the end of one of the lanes, we own the place for the weekend anyway . Glad to see there are several like-minded people here - go figure - I've been stewing on this for a while - just had to ask.

Moose, GSP, ate both of ours this summer. We'll hide in shame.

There is a very large (and empty in January) parking lot right next to the Tops'l RV Park. It is the parking lot for the Tops'l day use area. It is about 100 yards north of the RV park entrance.

I'm all for the photo thing but it would be nice if we could do it Saturday. Some of us (me and the wife at least) will be leaving between 6 and 7 am on Sunday.

!!! Guilty !!!
I admit it. I am the one. Has anyone else been guilty of bumping this thread back to the top if it is not listed on the main page?
Concerning pictures; A group photo of people will be great and likely easy to organize. And with planning and determination we can get a photo of many trailers and people as well. This rally will be one for the history books!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
FL vacation 11 days and counting (down)

Actually, I think organizing 72 Airstreamers will be like herding cats! Sounds like Saturday works. I'll try to bring a ladder to give the shot a little perspective.

Don't bother bringing a ladder. If we need one for a group photo, I can run to the house and get one. Our house is only three miles away.

I didn't believe this would be an easy task - I know we alll have our own schedule. Saturday would be great - I for one would be willing to unhook and tow to a common area to have the Airstream in the background. Keep thnking on this - I still believe it will be a memorable photo.

We can have two versions, the real and the Photoshop version. If you miss the shot you will be added in.
