It is a rice dish, which can be made with chicken, sausage, ham, or almost anything. Everyone has their own style. The one I will cook will have sausage, chicken, tasso, and various spices.
In New Orleans we have Lucky Dogs.

Done. I also added a link from the calendar posting to this thread. Looks like a blast - but it's an awful long drive from WA state.

The boil
We (ptrvr and awppc) can handle the boil or help with the boil. He (awppc) has all the necessary supplies, equipment and know how. I just stand around, drink beer and tell him it needs more hot stuff!! Got to tell you, this is going to be a lot of fun no matter who cooks what. I told Devoman in a PM we will do whatever is needed.
Greg
I noticed clancy boy seems to have the boiling credentials (and offered his equipment) and Jim Clark is from NO. Surely between the all of that talent, we can cook a few shrimp and whatever else falls into the pot.

The seafood place on 98 about a mile east of 30-A has a decent reputation. We always buy our seafood at Goatfeathers Seafood Market which is below Goatfeathers Retaurant. It is on 30-A, 3.5 miles east of Tops'l on the south side of the road.

I will gladly help to boil. If necessary I can pickup the shirmp and bring with me. I won't know the price and count until we are closer to the event. Everyone knows the real fun is standing around and talking while the cooking is going on.
