Send a message via AIM to kevinkatz
about the park being full

they always say it is full and then when we are there i see lots of open sites.
we could find out the real story when we get there thursday and post it on line.
i wouldn't be too discouraged if you want to come.

Meals

Your rally hosts will provide Pork Chile Verde, rice and tortillas for Friday night supper, around 6:00. Contributions of side dishes and desserts are welcome. We have the pavilion reserved all day Saturday so the potluck dinner will be held there, starting around 6:30. Bring your dishes to share. We also have full use of the kitchen facilities. Let's light up Blanco!!!

My airstream is not ready for the road yet, but I live close by, would love to stroll around and see all the neat things people are doing with their trailers. What might be a good time to do this on Saturday?

Nancy and I are looking forward to this!. We hope the rain stops before next week, we sure had a gully washer overnight here in NB!

This will be our first ever AS gathering and/ or rally. Excited to be a part of the fellowship and learning from experienced 'Streamers! On that note, we have NO idea what we should bring for the pot luck. May do deserts or some such. Any suggestions?

Also, on one of the evenings we plan on driving up to Johnson City and viewing the Christmas lights at PEC, the Courthouse and LBJ home. Thursday would make the mot sense from a smaller crowd standpoint. But that's not carved in stone. Anyone else want to tag along?

See ya in a few!

Weather looks great for the extended weekend, a bit chilly at night but no rain so far.
Bring lots of firewood, we have a big Fireplace in the Pavilion to keep going on Saturday night as well as our campfires.
Glad to see so many familiar faces as well as some new ones .
We will be there by Thursday, so any visitors are welcome anytime Friday or Saturday to check out our fine Airstreams
Potluck is just that, we do like exotic surprises...

Would plastic ware and disposable plates be a good thing for folks to bring to share their potluck or is it customary to bring along your own stuff?

Bring your own kit, but extras are always appreciated by some who may be running late or forgetful

I have notified Bruce & Roseann, but to let everyone else know, Cathy & I hosted a family Christmas event this weekend at the park in the pavilion. We have donated two store bought bundles of firewood that we did not use. We spoke to "Mack", the park host in Spot 2, and he allowed us to leave the wood locked up the kitchen. We also left our Santa door decoration on the kitchen door. The kitchen stove has also been replaced with an electric conventional stove.

See everyone Friday.

the park gate never closes and you can do a self check in anytime and then try to straighten it out in the morning with the staff which is always so much fun ......arrive anytime if you have a reservation there will be a site even if you pick the wrong one, they will be happy to make you change in the morning

Hello, Is this rally a good place to get acquainted with the Airstream lifestyle for someone in the hunt for an Airstream. I live close to Blanco SP and I've been reading the forums and watching the classifieds but we haven't decided on which year\model\size. What day is best to show up and do my wife and I just walk around? thanks

Saturday will probably be the best day. You can drive through the park or walk. You can also walk up and knock on a door and take it from there. There will be new ones, old ones, restored ones, etc. Lots to look at.

See you there.
