Well everyone we are gearing up for the 11th annual Blanco Christmas rally. The dates for the rally are Dec 13th, 14th and 15th. This years theme for our rally is "Rockin around the Christmas tree" or should I say "the Airstream." So get your creative side thinking for this years theme!!! We will post more details as they become available. We will have a sign up sheet for those who are attending and a sheet sign up for those who wish to participate in the flamingo decorating contest. If you have not made your reservations, please call Blanco State park to grab a spot to attend the rally. The usual will apply, we the rally host, Dennis & Mary Watermann, Mike & Lora Robinson, and Ken & Deb Gordon will provide you with dinner on Friday night, desserts are welcomed by those attending the dinner. On Saturday we usually go to the open air market in the town square of Blanco, we gather for a pot luck dinner on Saturday. There is a Christmas parade in the square in the evening hours, we usually gather again after the parade for our infamous "Dirty Santa" gift exchange.

Where exactly is Blanco? We are heading South, but first a stop in Grand Rapids, Mich. the 8th, 9yh, and 10th for a vegetable conference. Sounds like fun.

We are in. Gene and Ana.

Blanco is just west of Austin. A long haul from MI in two days.

This place is right next to the State Park, has RV sites and is an easy walk to the events:

Home

We camped here last year, the owner is very nice and it actually turned out to be a great solution.

Two rolls of ELECTRICAL TAPE, already gift wrapped. Might even throw in some ring connectors

Shelly and I will be there. I guess we need to start scheming on the flamingo contest already. We are going to the vintage Airstream rally in Gonzales this weekend. It looks like fall weather will be arriving this weekend!

No, the Tradewind is not quite ready yet. Someday it will be finished.

No restoration is ever finished! You just reach a good stopping point.

No matter how much you do, you'll always be able to think of something else you could do, if only you had time and money to do it.

Same as last year....I am behind. I have been calling for three days now to see if there is a cancellation . (No available sites.) None.
If anyone has booked more than what they need can you give me a heads up? Other than that....I hope Frank and Mike will be my neighbors on the other side of the River.

Sorry Robin, even I am without reservations this year. I had checked park availability in August sometime and all the site were booked then, well before a 'public' announcement. I think most folks are grabbing the spots at the earlier available moment, 9 months out or whenever the state park system releases them.

Oh well, I'll either do the settlement or go elsewhere this year.
