What is this?
I have no idea what this is for but it was in the closet upon purchase.

It's the manual jack attachment - in case the motor or switch fails, or in case you have no power. You need a powerful drill to use it though. I ended up buying the manual hand crank.

ETA: There should be a round hole in the front of the jack where this would slide in.
