Water Tanks
Novice here... the fresh water tank light is yellow on our 2010 flying cloud. We’ve only stayed at full hook ups sites. Not sure why the fresh water tank light is yellow???

First of all, welcome to the forum and greetings from PA!
What does "yellow" mean? Caution? Almost empty? It would help to diagnose the issue if we clearly understand the issue.

Welcome Aboard 👍
The most likely cause, the FW tank is not completely full.
"Hooked-up" does not fill the tank, the FW tank is filled thru the FW tank fill, usually behind a small door on the curb side.
Do you have a manual for the AS? They are available on-line.

The check valve in your water pump may be bad, thus permitting your city water to flow back [through the pump] into the water tank IMO.
https://www.google.com/search?q=pump...=airforums.com
Follow suggestions in those threads to clear debris from pump, and always use an inline RV water filter in the hose -- both when hooked up to city water, and when filling the water tank.
Welcome to the forum.

Thanks all for your insight. I had the gray water tank valve open when hooked up at the camp site. I closed the valve and it turned green, opened it and it turned back to yellow, closed it again and back to green. I guess it just doesn't like being open.
