Trailer Mount Grill???

One of the things to consider when you install your gas grill, is the pilot lights (refridge., water heater and stove) as you will have an unavoidable leak when you disconnect your grill. Good luck, NYE

Before the Airstream we had a pop-up camper that was equipped with an RVQ grill that quick connected to the side of the camper. The gas connection was right there by the grill connection so it was all very convenient. I loved it.



There was very little splatter and what little there was went onto the open lid. Honestly, I never thought about the heat factor, but it never seemed to be a problem. It was great to be able to cook outside under the awning when it was raining. The unit produced very little smoke so that wasn’t a problem either.



When I traded in the pop-up for the Airstream, I kept the RVQ hoping to be able to find someone to connect it to the side of the Airstream. Got a Weber Baby Q for a gift last year, love it and have waylaid the plans for the RVQ.

I developed a design to mount a Big Green Egg Mini-Max to the front chassis of an airstream.

• Mini-Max has a steel frame that can be bolted to the platform at four leg positions.
• Weight distribution hitch will compensate for the added tongue weight (shifting to the TV and trailer) ~100 lbs.
• 9/16" hole drilled through both pipes to allow for a lockable hitch pin to secure in stowed position and Barbecue position.
• Use poly-foam to cushion ceramic insides during transport.
• Big Green Egg dome cover (for larger eggs) will encase the whole unit for protection.
• All welding can be done by a local auto-body shop.
• You will never go back to propane and the egg will outlast the trailer.
