Suburban NT16 FC thermastat wiring

Hi there I have taken over the renovation of a partially renovated 1977 21ft Land Yacht.

At the moment I am trying to sort out the furnace and as the thermastat had been removed by the previous owner, it is a bit of a challenge to make sense to make sense of the wiring as the thermastat has been disconnected. My main question relates to the fact that I have two thermastats and in the original Airstream manual there are also two.

From the wiring diagram that I have, the two blue wires are labelled as thermastat and in the closet I have two blue wires that look like I match. The big question I relates to the second thermastat. I am guessing that even though one thermastat has heat and cool options, the air conditioner and the furnace operate from separate thermastats. Therefore to operate the furnace I should be able to just connect the two blue wires to the Suburban thermastat.

Does this make sense. Would appreciate any help figuring this out.
