Solved: Dometic refrigerator not cooling on Propane
Hello,
Just wanted to share the solution to the problem in our 2019 26' FC. I'm sure this solution is likely in other threads but am posting as a new thread to help others quickly find what worked for me.
Our refrigerator was not cooling on propane but was cooling with electricity. I took the following steps to troubleshoot.
1) Turned on both propane tanks
2) Switched trailer to "Use" mode
3) Opened exterior refrigerator vent door and listened for ignition
I heard the propane flow briefly and the refrigerator tried to ignite but wouldn't stay lit.
4) Even though the gas valve (see black arrow) looked like it was correctly positioned I turned it slightly and the ignition worked and remained lit. The refrigerator cooled quicker on propane (it seemed).
Thanks for sharing your fix. I never knew that valve existed. It probably got some debris in the valve that was cleared by turning it. Good to know if my refrigerator ever has the same problem.
