Running copper propane through tight space

Replacing the hot water heater in our 2011 16’ sport and the propane line is about 6-8” short for the new dometic unit. I’m running a new line which shouldn’t be an issue. I got the old one out and the path is really tight. Hoping someone has an idea.

It runs vertically about 6” from the exterior, it is directly below the refrigerator box and makes a hard 90 for about three inches before having space to run vertical again. It really wants to kink and bind as I’m fishing it. I’m trying with and without a protective pipe around the copper.

Ideas welcome.

Thanks!

Have you considered replacing the copper pipe with flexible propane hose? I was at Jackson Center recently and when they replaced an appliance they removed the copper and use the rubber (like?) hose. Not sure what the material is exactly but they said they are using on all trailers now and eliminating copper

Look at etrailer. They have 12/15/20 foot propane thermo rubber hoses. Might be able to find locally too

Yep, flex hose, I go to my propoane guy and he makes me any custom hose while I wait. Price very reasonable. They also have every fitting you could imagine and then some.
Good luck, Mark D
