Replace the REGO

I had an old REGO regulator on my A/S that was in dire need of replacement. I chose to use the Marshal 2 stage regulator because it seems to be the best fit for me. This is a break down of what I did and what it costs so maybe someone can use the info. Bare with me cuz my camera is not the best.

Well I'm having trouble with uploading the pics so I will get back as soon as possible.

Picture 1 is of the Marshall compared to the REGO, the Marshall cost $42.00. Picture 2 is of the tank bracket after removing the Rego and getting sized to drill the holes for the new reg.
Picture 3 is the 8/32 tap that I used to thread the back mounting holes in the new reg, cost about $3.75.
Picture 4 is the back of the new reg where the tap will go.

Picture 1 is the bracket after I drilled the 4 new mounting holes, be careful of your measurements cuz I guess I sneezed and one hole was off a little, luckily it coverd well.

Picture 2 is of the 8/32 X 3/4 chrome cap screws that I got from a local motorcycle shop, I don't remember the cost of these but it wasn't much.

Picture 3 is of the attachments I used to adapt from 1/2 pigtail to 5/8 gas hook up. On top is the original 5/8 double male elbow, below that is the 1/2 X 5/8 double female and then finally the 1/2 X 1/2 double male.

Picture 4 is of the 1/2 X 5/8 double male just in case I decide to not use the other adapters.

Picture 1 is what all the adapters look like hooked up.

Picture 2 is what the back looks like as I put in the cap screws.

Picture 3 is the pigtail that goes to the tanks rom the regulator. 2 of these were about $7.00 each and the main pigtail was about $11.00.

Picture 4 is the final product, this pigtail is longer than the original so that is why I got the 1/2 X 5/8 dbl male just in case.

As a side note the only place that I put thread tape was on the main pigtail where it mounts to the regulator, all other connections were flairs.
