Reducing wear and tear on Propane Tank and Storage plate
Here's something I did to my new propane tanks. When I was flying hot air balloons we used to do this to the larger 10 gallon tanks we flew. It helped protect the floors more than the bottom ring on the tank.
Basically take a piece of tubing, can really be just about any type including a piece of old garden hose. Cut a slit in it and place over the tank bottom ring edge.
Should help reduce the wear and eventual rusting of the mounting plate.
Great idea. I've been spraying some Boeshield T9 anti-corrosive there each time I refill a tank. It's a little messy inside there, the paint wears in a circle, but there is no corrosion. I think I'll try this with tubing.
