Propane Quick Disconnect
I just bought a new Honda generator from Genconnex and the quick disconnect does not plug into the outlet of the AS.
The one on the top (for my grill) plugs into the outlet without any problems. The one on the bottom is for the generator but it will not connect.
I thought I ordered the right hose (12' X 1/4" id propane hose with 1/4" QD input for trailers) from Genconnex but it doesn't work. Did they send me the wrong connection?

I suspect the generator hose you have may be for connection to an unregulated source (high pressure).
The trailer connection and your grill are regulated connections (low pressure).

When I bought all my propane conversion kit from Hutch Mountain, they sold me an "RV 1/4 to 3/8 Quick Connect Adapter" for about $15. Such a piece will fix all that ails you.

Thanks for the lead. It kind of surprises me though as Genconnex advertises this hose and connections for RV's. I expected plug and play!

So is the Airstream outlet 3/8"? Everything else I've seen has said that it's 1/4", at least on late model trailers.

That may be what happened. Have you reached out to them about it?

Yes. In my case, the trailer is 1/4" but they gave me 3/8" tubing and the adapter by design.

Update on my problem for those of you who might be interested. And for future reference.
I contacted Genconnex and they were very helpful and after me sending them pictures of the hose and connecter they assured me that I had the correct one. With that information in hand I tried it again to no avail.
So I got out my calipers and recorded all the dimensions from the connector that fits (from my gas grill) and the one that does not. The dimensions are virtually identical. There is some variation but after doing the comparison and studying the two connectors I came to the conclusion that this thing should fit. So I tried it again and, guess what, it does fit but requires much more effort to insert than my gas grill hose.
So it is a case of "operator error" on my part. I feel a little foolish but am trying to view it as another learning experience!
Thanks to all for your suggestions and input!
