Propane line brackets issue

We recently purchased a 2015 25ft flying cloud. So far so good but one of the rear tires had a slow leak from a screw in the middle of the tread. After repairing the tire I noticed two brackets had come loose that hold the propane line to the underbelly of the camper. One of the brackets was missing a screw which appears to have found its way into the tire directly behind it. The other bracket still has the screw attached. My question is.. what are these brackets attached to? The screws appear to be metal screws not wood screws. Are these screws attached to a frame structure on the other side of the belly pan or do they just attach to the belly pan which doesn’t seem very stable to me. I’m just not sure the best method to replace these brackets.

Those should be sheet metal screws.

That said, I’d replace with pop rivets to avoid the screw shedding problem.

One of the corollaries to Murphy’s Law says that a dropped object will always land where it will do the most damage, and a long screw will find its way into a tire.

A pop rivet is less likely to cause a problem because it is much smaller and blunt.

If you want to fix it once, use a rivnut and screw with a lock washer.
