Preventive maintenance

Have a 2014 FC19 . When doing some PM I noticed my LP pig tails are showing some checking in the rubber. Testing shows no leaks. I want to replace with braided hoses that have a gauge built-in. Has anyone done this and what length hose did you get? (These hoses are only 12” and seem very short)

I installed these 12" long.

These are another brand 15" long.

If the pigtails are a little long, the propane bottles can be rotated so that the connections point somewhat outwards instead of straight back.

Check the reviews of propane pigtails carefully. Many of the imported ones have quality and slow leak issues.

Stick with US made propane parts as much as possible...propane leaks and a possible dangerous fire is not something you want to fool with!
