Need new propane detector... what actually fits?

Apparently, I have completely lost my search-and-research skills!

The factory Atwood propane detector in our 2014 23D has "timed out" and needs to be replaced. It looks like the one we have is NLA, and I just don't seem to be able to find the replacement (if there is one) that fits in the existing cut-out.

The cut-out opening is ~ 2.5" X 3.75"

Our old detector is like this:

I'm hoping that someone has replaced one of these lately and can give a brother some good guidance. Many thanks!

Robert

Hi

That sounds close to this:

https://www.mtiindustries.com/wp-con...ies-Manual.pdf

Dimensions shown here:

https://www.amazon.com/MTI-INDUSTRIE...4039803&sr=8-3

Must be for the box it comes in.

Just the first thing that showed up on a search. No idea if they are any good or not.

I found one (OEM in white) online about six months ago. It was new but had been manufactured a few years ago. I don’t think the timer starts until you power it up. I see them on eBay right now.

Atwood 36719 - they are all over the place online.

After searching all over this spring I had the bright idea to just call my dealership. They had them in stock ( white ) and were cheaper than Amazon and eBay at the time.

If you need to get a new one that is a different shape, I would suggest that you look for one that I found a few years ago. This unit has a sensor in the coach and a selenoid at the tanks which when activated will shut off the flow from the tanks as well as a generating a VERY loud alarm. I do not have the brand name readly available but can get it from the rig if intrersted.
