LP Pressure? How to check?

2002 classic AS. How can I check and confirm LP pressure? Stove and furnace work OK but I may not be getting enough LP to run the fridge and HW heater. Sorry about pictures - they appear sideways and upside down.

Google manometer. You can build one in 5 minutes for probably less then 5 bucks. Not counting the trip to Home Depot.
If you have a LP port you can check it from there. Just buy a male fitting for the LP port and a 4 feet of clear hose that fits snug on the fitting.

Still had to go to HD and get the correct sized brass fitting to connect to stove. Take your reading of 11" of pressure with all other gas appliances operating (furnace, WH, fridge). Mine was several inches low.

Considering the age, and looking at your regulator, I wouldn’t bother with checking pressure. I’d replace the regulator and associated flexible lines.

I had to replace the regulator on my 2001 and my 2002.

X2^, but I have found brand new regulators which are not adjusted properly right out of the box.

I had a furnace problem. A mobile RV repair unit came and fixed it. He said the problem was low flow, due to a collapsed interior on the 30 year old flexible line between the regulator and the copper tubing. I agree with Al. Change the lines and the regulator and try it again. Then check pressure if you need to.

The mobile RV service took the furnace out and cleaned and tested and adjusted it on the tail gate of his truck with a propane tank and 12 volt supply. Put it back in the trailer and it did not work. Then he went to work on the regulator and eventually the lines.

I think you need some sort of flow meter to really test. I doubt if the static pressure tells all you need to know.

There is a diagnostic strategy for this. If static pressure is ok, likely around 13 - 14 inches, but pressure drops low, like 8 or 9 inches, regardless of adjusting regulator during dynamic flow, there is most likely a line restriction.
A healthy and normal regulator should be at 11" during dynamic flow, with all gas appliances running, and rise to around 13 - 14 when appliances are off. Then shut off supply at the bottles and the lines should hold pressure for a minimum of 20 minutes. (Recalling from memory the 20 minutes. Verify online.)

Just to provide context, regulated propane is very low pressure, less than 1 psi.

You need pressure / voltage , and volume / current .
My view is that if I use either of the above , I need to learn about it .

Thanks Al. I plan to purchase a regulator and the lines. Specifically, which lines do you recommend? Just the flexible ones? Anything I need to know before I swap out the regulator? I’m pretty handy - but we all know the little tricks make things easier?

I bought 2 propane tanks that came with gauge at Costco. Works great.
