LP-How long /purge time?

Ongoing issues getting LP to flow in ‘19 FB 27. I’ve reconnected tanks, confirming they are both full. Slowly turned on tank valve and run stove burners for 20+ minutes - no flow. I’ve done this multiple time - event disconnecting and reconnecting. What am I doing wrong?

Did note that both standard tank connectors leak at the hose to hand connection - but that should just prove I have flow, right? (Replacing them)

Any ideas appreciated!

Possible bad pigtail hoses from tank to regulator. I replaced mine due to leaks at the compression fitting. Found out that one tank had no flow with its replacement hose. The other did. Swapped hoses and the problem moved to the other tank. Bottom line the hose was defective. Positive proof was when I disconnected the problem hose from the regulator and then very slowly turned on the tank. No discharge from the hose. Exchanged the defective hose and new hose worked perfectly.

Thanks Jack! I have new pigtails on order and I hope that does the trick. Especially with us leaving next weekend for a long rally.

I you have a gas line or fitting leak with a good OPD, no gas will flow.
If the arm on the valve is stuck, no flow.
Turning the tank upside down sometimes gets it working.

UPDATE

Discovered there are actually two answers to this!

1) It takes roughly a full minute to bleed out the air from the line (front of coach to almost the rear.

2) (More importantly & NOT covered in the manual!) You have to PUSH IN AND HOLD on the stove top nobs to get them to actually open! Just "turning and releasing them" will NOT allow LP to flow! (My DW happened to casually mention this...after I farted around, frustrated with this for pretty much 4 hours on Sat!)

First the pig tails could be checked by disconnecting them and see if they flow when opening the OPD valve slowly and just a little bit. I have had them clogged up when brand new. Next, the propane tanks could have gotten air in them if some one left the valves open with nothing connected to the tanks. In this case take them to a full service propane supplier and have them purge the tanks. It can take up to four (4) refills to remove all the air from a propane/air filled tank. You need pure propane to check a system. Gennys will not even start with air in the lines.
