How could anyone have any experience with it? All the information they have is a one page website that says "Coming soon"

Obviously it doesn't exist.

I guess it does. Sort of like those design experiments at car shows.

When it shows up at Camping World or WalMart, then I'll believe it.

Actually, it looks like a great idea. However, when clicking on the manufacturer's website "Get It" link takes you to "Coming Soon," I still think it doesn't really exist. I not saying that they couldn't make it.

It is advertised on the inside cover of the latest (May) Trailer Life magazine. If it does not exist, they are paying a lot for advertising!!

Frankly you didn't try very hard, if you go to the bottom of the page of the website in the OP you will find a link to about Truma, on that pop up is the link to the manufacturers website where the complete decription of the item is located under gas accessories. Also if you google it you will find the item for sale in the UK and Europe. The price varies but is around 60 pounds. It seems it is just not for sale in the US yet since it made by a German company.

OK, I'll admit to being cynical.

I've fallen for this before. (Trying to buy something represented as available that really wasn't)

For Example: I remember once trying to buy a set of Crager mags that were in their printed catalog. I ordered them from Summit, out of stock. Other places, out of stock. I finally got a phone number for Crager and called them. When I asked about the wheels I wanted, they replied, "Oh we don't really make those yet, we just put them in the catalog to see if anyone was interested."

Manufacturers do that sort of thing. I'm not picking on Crager or Truma in particular. With the internet it's so easy to throw up a (single!) webpage more as market research. Almost no effort or expense.

If they're advertising at that level, they are wasting their (little) efforet on their website at http://levelcheck.com/us/.

My apologies if I am too suspicious. I've had my hopes up before.

It says on their website it must be used with the tank "in the horizontal position". That would work for motorhomes, but not trailers with tanks in a vertical position. It also says it is not for refillable "gas tanks" which I presume means any propane tank for RV's, though the photo is of a refillable tank. Their website needs work.

I think they mean that the indicator is held in the horizontal position. Not the tank.

Could be. It is ambiguous and would be best to check what they mean. Maybe they need a lesson in grammar.

I agree. If you watch the video it's a little clearer.

I was giving them some slack thinking that it probability originated in German.

OK, I realize that it doesn't look like I was cutting them any slack. But I was.

I really don't see the need on a trailer with auto-switching regulator, but I still would like to have one for my grill. I'm really tired of getting that ribeye only partially done and having to take a tank off the Excella to finish.

Yes you hold the device horizontal. See instruction sheet.

That's solved. Sounds expensive. I just loosen the tanks and see how heavy they are. It has worked for years and is free.

I second Gene's comment.

In addition, I use a small luggage scale to hand weigh tanks that feel light. I got one (similar to the one in the link below) at Walmart for about $6-7 in the luggage section.

I write the FULL weight on the top of the tank in pencil right after filling it. Then, when one feels light, I just weigh it to see how much propane remains. (The empty weight is stamped on the metal tank.)
