I have a 1986 Argosy with the horizontal tanks. They are obviously out of date and do not meet current regs. I have heard that these tanks are exempt from Federal regs. (True ????). Harder to get filled. Want to keep unit near original. What is aternative.
If you decide to replace your old tanks I would interested in buying them for my 1991 Classic. I had mine inspected and they screwed up my gauges and I'm looking for replacements. I live just south of you in Sheffield, AL. You can contact me at wtwatts55@gmail.com if interested. Thanks
Thanks for the input may have to replace if I can't get refilled. Just so their is no misunderstanding the tanks are non OPD and are obviously mounted horizontally.

And therein lies the rub. No one around here will re-certify them because they are not OPD equipped. They say that the Federal rules have changed and they must sign off that the tank is so equipped and that it has been checked.
