heads up-gas pipe to stove-'05 Safari

You may want to make a quick check of the copper gas line entering your stove.

I lifted the cooktop and saw the copper gas line was rubbing into the steel stove where it entered in the rear. The vibration had already worn a shallow groove into the copper gas pipe. There was a plastic sleeve entirely under the cooktop, I assume it was supposed to protect the gas line where it entered the stove. I pushed it back into position.

If I had not discovered this, the groove eventually would have worn through causing a gas leak.

Good catch! Sandi has been after me to clean the cook top so now I better get it done and check the line before we head out Friday!
