We are mulling over a variety of different options for heating our 59 Overlander. It will be used for retail space (a clothing store) for the majority of the time, and personal whenever we can.
As it stands right now, we don't intend on camping over night in 20F weather, but we have days where the high is 20.
We have looked at the Dickinson heaters, which seem like a good option, but the concern is the lack of temperature regulation. A few tiny house folks use the Hampton h27 (which seems like it may be a bit too much...but we are in Colorado, and it does get quite chilly). The h15 is smaller, but I wonder if the output is too low. The reason I bring these up, is they appear to have a thermostat. However, weight, and the space it takes up is a significant concern.
For those who have a Dickinson heater, do the floors warm up quickly? We are considering radiant floor heating - would this be overkill?
How well does the Dickinson or Hampton products heat the back of the trailer? I think we'll put it in the same place the furnace was (just inside the door)
