Furnace control location

I will try this question here. In International forum I got no takers.

Recently purchased first time AS 2009 International 25. I am familiar with RVs in general as have had several SOBs. Here's my question. Where is the control to turn on gas furnace? I know it has a LP furnace as I've popped the cover on outside of trailer. Additionally there are multiple heat vents throughout trailer. In previous RVs the furnace control was always the wall thermostat. In this unit, heat setting at thermostat seems to turn on heat pump function in AC unit, ie. Only heat is coming from ceiling AC unit. Previous owner said he had larger AC unit installed at factory. Is it possible that in the upgrade, the furnace was disconnected since upgrade had heat pump? I pulled the thermostat to see if I could find any unconnected wiring because of a possible replacement thermostat but nothing but a phone type plug going into thermostat. This thermostat does have a "zone" feature but it doesn't appear to be functional? I would love to be able to use gas furnace. Any thoughts would be appreciated. What am I missing here?

The thermostat should show a furnace option under mode but if it doesn't the first thing I'd have checked is the dip switches on the AC unit. We had to have the AC replaced on our 25' EB and the installer didn't properly set the switches and our furnace option was gone from the thermostat.
