Today I did an inspection on my Hydo Flame/Atwood heater Model 8531-II,in my 1989 Squarestream. I found the screen burnt of the burner.
WHY?
Could it be over fired because propane reg is bad giving me over 11 inches of water?
All other propane systems working OK
I will check propane pressure when I get new burner but would like to know if anyone has seen this before.

This was NOT a April fools joke.
And I got not 1 feed back on this, how sad is that? IT DON'T TAKE A GENIUS TO SPOT A GOAT IN A FLOCK OF SHEEP.

The burners deteriorate with use. If the furnace is original to the trailer and has been used regularly it probably just reached the end of its life.
Before replacing it be sure to check the integrity of the heat exchanger as those usually fail around the same time.
Technically a higher water column would mean (in a non-blower assisted burner) it will fire to the rich side of air/fuel mixture, IF the air intake is optimized for exactly 11" water column, or 6 ounces of pressure per square inch fuel, then there isn't enough oxygen to cause it to over-fire temperature wise - and you'd have a reducing flame depositing excess carbon so its not an oxidizing flame eating your screen prematurely.
However with a fan assisted burner it could be a problem if they are depending on extra air making up for a higher back-pressure in a more complex heat exchanger. I'm a little surprised there is not a secondary propane regulator if it is that touchy... Just after you posted I looked for a splody parts diagram for your unit - clear as mud without having the unit itself in pieces... http://www.atwoodmobile.com/manuals/...0SP%201.08.pdf
