battery operated lp detector

I would rather not try to run any more wires in my 1965 Caravel but would like to have an lp detector. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

A quick look at pplmotorhomes.com part site (my go-to supplier of parts) lists only 12v wired models.

Maybe an rv requirement they be hard-wired? Someone will let us know if that's true.

My hardwired Propane detector for my AS motorhome is on the battery disconnect, so is off when switch is off. Since the propane tank solenoid is electric and will only operate when the battery switch is on, I guess they figure "no electricity, no propane". It may be different for a trailer, however.
