2016 22' Sport propane tanks

We just exchanged the original propane tanks with two 10 gal. aluminum tanks. What is the best way to find out how much propane is in the tanks? Is there a gauge on the market which will tell you how much propane is left in the tanks?
Thank you.

Liquid propane is naturally cold. Pour hot water on the outside of the cylinder, and then feel the side of the cylinder. Where the cylinder goes from feeling hot to feeling cold is approximately where the propane liquid level is. The cold liquid propane absorbs the heat from the hot water, right through the side of the cylinder.

Dometic sells a small "stick" looking device that when placed at a 90 degree angle to the surface to the tank gives you a reading. I've got one and it works really well. Got mine off Amazon......here's the link;

There are gauges. Requires a change in hoses to align with the regulator. About $200 at your dealer including labor. If they can't help, contact Bay Area Airstream Adventures Service department. They told us about the option. If you can DIY, cost is likely half. Just a bit of plumbing, but be safe as gas leaks are deadly. Pat

The forty tanks can be purchased with gauges, and is what comes standard on Classic models. Those things are huge, why do you need so much LP for your little trailer?
