I don't have that. We joined in July - 05 so we don't have any BBs before then.
Somebody else will have to do that if they can...

The survey itself as presented to the members ib BB (Aug, 2004 I think it was). I have never seen it myself. It can be sent in any format you can make. I can PM my address to you if the file is too big or post here on the forums because that is the eventual destination.

The survey was sent out in the February 2004 Issue - which I did not get I joined up in Feb - but my first mailing was in January.

But I do have the Results edition of the Survey with is in the August 2004 Edition.

I have scanned the 11-14 and just having to touch them up as it is difficult to scan "newsprint".

PM me and I will sent them to you no problem. Anything else I can scan.

Scanning from the BB reminded me of an earlier comment of miss-information - maybe it might be time to provide official corporate documentation via letters to members rather than relying on all sorts of different reports typed throughout the BB - None- seem to be official anyway and yet many times I here people in office refer to the BB as the official communication avenue to its members.

Now might be a good time for them to pull up all that has been written and just see how each officer types out the motions that are in quesiton...

Survey Says...

WBCCI came through - I got the envelope today with the survey results. It's a real eye opener! There are in fact something like 28 pages of comments broke out over several categories.
I will be scanning to PDF this weekend.
It also breakes the vote out as percentages and number of responses received.

Happy reading - just keep in mind that it represents a mere 13% of all wbcci members with 68% over the age of 55 (retired) and 52% are or were Officers of either local regional or International level.

Even the sampling barely represents a "quorum" of members (20%) would have at least been justifiable to look seriously into the results. But 13% would basically represent an "opinion".

However - it is great that there are some results that they do get out of it. That those people who volunteer - are encouraged by fellow volunteers to fill out the questionnaire as it is important. The big one - they know at least they have a guaranteed 13% readership of the Blue Beret.

And if WBCCI wanted to do a sampling questionnaire first and sample the over 55 age then they might have a good view from that demographic on the organizaton.

As well the Officer demographic - if honest - may also give an insight to the operations - but it is unfair for any Officer to answer the quesitonnaire and be tabulated with regular members - Evaluating yourself the program delivery infrastructure - that makes a lot of sense - I see a lot of rave reviews - or biais in many answers if that is the case.

I am going to hold off reading them - as I don't think they represent the membership well at all - somewhat like the decision on the table right now is not representing the membership either - it is representing a process that is top heavy with weighted votes.

Unit membership Stats

Quote:
Unit information provided by streamer23
1996-116 members
1997-117 members
1998-108 members
1999-104 members
2000-101 members
2001- 91 members
2002- 85 members
2003- 87 members
2004- 83 members
2005- 80 members
2006- 76 members

Thanks for the unit stats streamer23

When our local unit gave the 2006 member count as 76 it was providing a count that is technically correct, but misleading. It is misleading because a good number of these members no longer own trailers, or attend rallies. WBCCI’s membership count could be facing a real nose dive when members without trailers finally dropout.

I am new to the WBCCI, and currently a member at large because I have no interest in joining the local unit after I paid them a visit last year and was treated like I didn't belong (even heard a comment of "they probably don't even own an Airstream") most of the people that belong to this unit treated us like outsiders so we chose to stay on the outside. They were mostly older people and we are a younger family and I think that is where the ball is being dropped myself, they are set in thier ways and don't want change!

hi 65glb'

man that is one nice trailer....she cleaned up fine. and that original interior is very nice....

these "in the barn stories" always make me smile....

i'm at large as well...there seems to be several folks here from your part of washington, and northern oregon with similar demographics..... look around at some of the other almost local units. i see you've done the tct and vingage rallies so you've already found good groups.

post more photos here so others can enjoy your find...

cheers
