WBCCI 2006 Directory
Got ours in the mail yesterday - found a little mistake in the Courtesy Parking section. Maine and Massachusetts have been switched. Meaning all the listings for courtesy parking in Maine are really in Massachusetts and all the listings for parking in Massachusetts are in Maine.

Well, that can happen ...
Especially with manual systems, which seems to be the case with WBCCI membership fulfilment.
Its gets so very frustrating when you know what could be but can't get the concept through the fog and inertia.
Wouldn't it be nice to get a google-earth tie up with the courtesy parking list? Plan your trip and see the closest WBCCI friends along the way?
And how about being able to reach members via WBCCI email? Filtered and forwarded to member number (at) wbcci.org?
Do some things to help members make contact with each other?
Yes, I know, there are multiple threads here related to this.
In looking through Mike's examination of the directories over time I notice that, while RV sales have increased since 1995 by 50%, WBCCI region 12 membership has dropped by 28%. WBCCI membership seems to have followed the WW II generation as it peaked when those folks were in early retirement and faded when they did. I wonder if their offspring, the baby boomers, will pick it up again in a few years as they start to retire.
oh, well. enough daydreaming.

I got my directory and opened up to the H's since I always like to see my name in print. However we were not listed. We paid our dues on time so maybe it is that not being sponsored thing again from when we tried to join un-sponsored. So if anyone would like to add us to your directory turn to page 139 and right between Haddox and Hagen slip in Hadley, Kent and Frances, #7235. Then back on page 232 between 7234 and 7238, you can put in 7235.
I feel so much better now knowing that somewhere in the United States there could be someone turning their directory to page 139 just to add my wife and myself plus our WBCCI number. Gosh I hope they are using ink. Here's seeing you special person down the road.

Consider it done.Just curious ,did you pay your dues through Unit #116 or are you a member at large?I am pretty sure sponsorship would have nothing to do with it.Is there any other members out there that had their dues paid on time and did not get entered in the directory?

Done!! Any Chaplain that drives a motorhome, drinks beer and even cooks with beer is my kind of sky pilot!! My favorite Minister was an old german who came to our home, had a beer and mooched pipe tobacco from me. (Had my own mix in those days). (Don't smoke anymore)

Can someone check to see if there is a member with 7117? I e-mailed WBCCI about 6 weeks ago stating I was interested in joining and asked if that number was available. All I ever got was a computer generated reply that said someone would reply soon.

It's not listed in the Numerical Member Listing section. But it could have been assigned out since the book was published.

Currently WBCCI#7117 is not in the 2006 directory. It was in the 2005 directory. It should be available. The best thing to do would be to call WBCCI headquarters to see if it is available.

If I remember correctly - they will wait 2-3-4 years or so before releasing an inactive number - to see if that person re-joins. So if it was in the 2005 directory - it may be not be available yet.

Chaplain Kent, I you ever need a sponsor, let us know.
The guys inside the beltway ran an FBI, CIA, NSA and KGB check on you and you’re clean.

I added you to my book too, Kent!
I was trying to decode the numbers below my name's entry. It says U336(090). I know our Oregon Unit number is 090, but what does the U336 mean?

U336
The U signifies a unit caravan you participated in.U336 was the Spring Caravan British Columbia Unit in 2005

Sorry Greg it is 2 years membership lapse before the WBCCI number can be released. Thus July of 2007 it should be available - I would write a letter to HQ and have it on file if the number is that important to you.
As Leipper says they are on a manual style system - so things take a while and they probably face mounds of paper in that office

Hmmm, never been on any caravans, esp not in BC - I'd remember. Must have been someone who wrote their number down wrong.

We got ours. We are still members at large. If anyone on the forum who is in one of the local Missouri units wants to contact us about their activities, I'd like to hear. We are "unattached and unapproached" after a couple of years as M-L in WBCCI. We are probably too far from the center of unit activities. ~G
