I received your compelling anonymous email yesterday and sent you a response with some additional questions but have yet to hear back from you. I'd like to take you and your email seriously but, unless I receive a response back to my questions, I have to believe that you and your email are just a name change issue hoax.

Good guess but not quite. The email I received yesterday is actually the reason I started that conspiracy thread. The email reads like an X-Files conspiracy theory on the name change.

The person raised some interesting points but I didn't think they substantiated their theory clearly so I emailed them back looking for clarification. No answer yet. The person also asked that the contents of the email NOT be published on the Airstream Forum so that means this person is active on the forum. At this point, I would like to honor their request to not publish the email on the forum and I'd like to give the person a chance to answer my questions. If the person doesn't answer my email in the next few days, I can only think it is a hoax so I may reconsider and publish the email on the forum.

Note, the subject line of the email was "Unit Presidents" so I'm assuming every Unit President received the email. My email address was the only address on the "To" line so I'm assuming the person used blind copy to send the email as I find it hard to believe I'm the only one that received this email.

JohnHD -- the email address the person used is not the same email address I use on the forum but it is an email address that has been published as part of WBCCI business.

Actually, I don't know where the email came from, that is, I don't know who sent it -- it was an anonymous email sent from someone called "Wallace Byam" from a yahoo account called "wallysundergroundrailroad".

Also, with the help of a cyber-friend, I'm working on figuring out who this person is. So far, we have figured out that the email was sent from New England. The plot thickens as the perpertrator lives in my proverbial backyard! Where is that twilight zone music when I need it?!

I'm now wondering if I was the specific target of this email. I'm curious if anyone else received this email too? Other unit presidents can feel free to respond to this (yes or no) or send me a PM.

I have further narrowed it down to a New Hampshire location.

I think we need the theme song from Jeopardy right about now!

Hmmm...I'm now wondering out loud if I really want to know who this is. Not knowing is hard but knowing could be harder.

So, can you allude to what 'deep throat' told you? Enquiring minds want to know...

I will publish more information about the email if I don't hear back from "Deep Throat" after this weekend. I'm trying to give this person the benefit of the doubt by giving him/her a chance to reply back to my email with additional supporting information.

On the otherhand, perhaps having me (or someone else) post the email on the forum was the original intent of the sender so that he/she could avoid detection but still get their message out!? That is the technique Bin Laden uses whenever he wants his latest tape aired -- he just sends it to the media. It is then all over the internet within 24 hours.

BTW, I'm starting to hear back from other Unit Presidents and so far, no one else has received the email I received.

And I was hoping it was me in one of my alternate personalities. Then again maybe it was and two of them got together and figured out how to spoof the server on a redirect using a hacked PC in NH and they aren't telling me ....

I'm not sure I'd want to spread it around if it's just a hoax. After all, the issue has enough confusion already. If you can't verify what they are claiming, and they won't come forward, and you don't know who your source is, I guess it's up to you to decide how important it is to spread the word. Of course, nothing brings out the truth quite like handing it out over the internet and letting hundreds of people try to verify it at once.

Why do you think they sent it to you and then asked you not to share? What were they expecting you to do with it? And then to choose to remain anonymous...what an interesting development.

Forget TV and the soaps! This thread has become my favorite continuing story to watch. Please don't leave us in the dark, now. I hate when I watch a movie and then the weather interrups the dish signal and drops the program.
