Time to renew if your membership expires 12/31

Hi Airstream Club members! Log in to our member-only dashboard today to check your renewal date! If it's 12/31/2023 or sooner, it's time to renew! Click here to renew your membership for 2024: https://airstreamclub.org/renew

*If you've signed up for auto-renewal already, please log in to add your payment information once again since we're working with a new payment processor.

**Lifetime members: please go through the renewal process to pay local club, intra-club and/or affiliate club dues.
Thanks all, have a great weekend!

***Everyone who joined after July 1, 2021 started with our new "anniversary year" membership cycle. Before then, it was prorated based on the month you joined, and everyone's renewal date was 12/31. So, we still do an annual campaign to remind the masses of the calendar year renewal.

In 2024, the

Directory that had been included in the dues is now an additional charge for 2024 This was to save money.
Today I received notice that dues are goin up to $99.00 due to raising costs.
That amounts to $39.00 plus $24.00 in 2 years.
I wish my $SS went up that much.

I wonder if the WBCCI still has that $1,000,000+ in savings they used to brag about back when we were members?

And if so, why “rising costs” are being passed on to members?

Who’s making these decisions and how are they justified?

The need for the increase is explained pretty thoroughly starting at about 47 minutes into the Board of Trustees meeting video.

Do they still have the million plus in savings?

I think that is something members, and would be members, would want to know.

Yeah, my $SS has not gone up 33%. I bet my grocery bill has though, maybe more. A sign of the times. Government spending is out of control, every dollar printed reduces the value of every existing dollar.

I know, stating the obvious...

Very good explanation of the need for dues increase was provided at the IBT meeting. If you were unable to attend, the recording will be posted to the website soon: https://airstreamclub.org/internatio...-2024-business.

Went on the website to see about joining, and could not find a membership price anywhere, unless I fill in all the info before clicking the join button.

Either I'm missing it somewhere on the site or I just don't need to join

You don't need to join but, IMHO, you are missing out if you don't do so. The cost is $99/year plus whatever the annual fee your local unit charges (in our case it is $5).

May be easier to just send an email with your questions: membership@airstreamclub.org

Thanks for saying what the dues are. I'm not a member and went on the site to see about joining. They wanted a page of info (name, address, celll #, email, ....) and what looks like several more steps before you can find out what the dues are. I didn't bother to go through all that just to see if I wanted to join.

Yes, but in the forum it may/will answer the same question others have had themselves.

Wouldn't it be so much easier if they just show the dues up front.... Simple.

Why don't you email them and make that suggestion.

I believe that your actual membership will depend on a few variables, including which chapter you join.

I found this on their website. If you complete the form and go through the steps you'll get a specific price for you.

That's my point.
I would like to know the prices before entering personal information.

Clearly WBCCI isn't for me, but I know others who feel the same way about entering personal info just to find out the prices.

It's not a money issue, it's a privacy issue.

And the privacy issue make good sense!

Hi tinstar! I feel your frustration. I want you to know if you change your mind, you can opt out of publishing your address in the membership directory. It will just say “private”. Hope this helps.

Most people (everyone I've met in the Airstream Club) met other members and decided to join before approaching their website.

If you were interested and didn't want to share your private information first, then all you had to do was call their office - they've got friendly people who can answer questions. Or email them, as you did.

Not sure the benefit of airing your complaints here against an organization you aren't a member of.
