I've got a 60 Tradewind single axle 24' with the ghosts of the numbers 2516 on front and rear. Wondering if any information is available as to owners and / or caravans.
Many, many, Thanks.

1967 Directory lists 2516 belonging to Paul and Clara Cleever from Hibbing MN. No national caravans listed.

2516
The 1960 Wally Byam Caravanners Directory lists #2516 as belonging to Paul & Clara Cheever. The number would have been assigned in 1958 and first listed in the 1959 Directory.

Another WBCCI number question for a 1970 Safari
Hi There!
My first post! We just purchased a 1970 23' Safari Twin. I'm about halfway through polishing it and I'm about to reach the remains of the old WBCCI numbers. The numbers have been removed, but there is an image in the aluminum such that you can still read the numbers. It looks like there have been more than one set of numbers assigned.
Can anyone help to identify this trailer: WBCCI# 16240. It has a dealer plaque from "Jack and Patty Fast's Cascade Trailer Sales" from Eugene, Oregon.
What's interesting is that there is another older number also somewhat readable under the remains of the 16240. It could be 11449 or 11447 or 11442. I'm going to photograph it before I polish the whole thing, but it would be great to know anything about the history of this great trailer.
We've yet to join the local WBCCI chapter. Does the number stay with the trailer or the owner?
Thanks!
Mike

The number stays with the member. Your trailer may of had 2 different members own the trailer during it life. You can request a number if it is available.

Visit one of the WBCCI rallies in your area and decide if you want to join for the fun of it. If you decide to join and which number you want, call Ph 937-596-5211 and ask for Deb. She can reserve the number for you or sign you up over the phone. Since many of the benefits of belonging to WBCCI are attending the local events, my suggestion would be to joint through your local, after reserving your number with Deb.

looking for info on WBCCI #6005
My 1962 Globetrotter 19' has the outline of #6005 on the front and back. I've been told these are WCCBI #'s but don't know any more than that. My family owned this trailer when I was a kid and the faded #'s were on it then. We sold it in 1989 and it's been sadly neglected since then. I just bought it back to restore it. Any info would be great.

6005 is listed in the 1967 WBCCI directory as belonging to the Williams family, from Arlington TX. At that time, there were a lot of Williams in the club. If you want to join the club, you might be able to get that number reassigned to you. You would need to call Debbie at Jackson Center to find out whether that number is currently available. Numbers are frequently reassigned if the member does not renew for three years.

Haven't contacted WBCCI yet, but just discovered an old tag on this Airstream:
Texas Trailercoach Inc
Airstream - Shasta - Mobile Scout
Dallas
So it appears that the Williams family of Arlington Texas were probably the original owners!
This sticker was under a later sticker for Cascade Trailer Sales in Eugene, OR

The fact that there were two numbers on the trailer means at least two members of WBCCI have owned the trailer. Since we do not know which years they were put on, we can not say which people owned the trailer. 7616 is an early number that was assigned to Harry Easton from Maine in my 1968 Directory. 7616 was assigned to Laurene McCall from Ca in 1977. It is unassigned in the 2011 directory.
30012 was not issued until the '70s. Yocom from Las Vagas was assigned that number in the 1977 directory and 30012 was not assigned in the 2011 directory.

In my 1989 Directory, 2152 was assigned to Harry and Phyllis Beste from Sun City, AZ. They may have been the original owners but we can not be sure as the numbers are reassigned if the member does not pay his dues for three years.

2152
2152 should have been first listed in the 1958 Directory, but numbers were sometimes "skipped" in the early years.
I first find it listed in the 1966 Directory listing Clifford & Violet Williams of Tampa, FL. They were still members in 1973. BTW..... the numbers on your trailer don't appear to be WBCCI distributed numbers. They seem super-sized.

First post here! We just acquired our first Airstream! 1967 20' Globetrotter. Love it! This forum is amazing! As we start the restoration I'm sure we will spend many many hours here. The WBCCI number on our unit is 29901. Does anybody have information for that number?

29901 was not issued until the 1970's, My 1976 Directory has it assigned to Walter and Beth Wilkinson from Evergreen Co. They are likely the first owners to have hat number and could have put it on a used trailer when they bought it. 29901 is not listed in my 1986 directory or my 2007 directory.

Correct. #29901 should have first been issued in late 1974 as evidenced by the highest number in the 1975 Membership Directory (membership as of 10/1/1974) being 29956. Perhaps the paperwork was late, though, because no one is listed for 29901 until the 1976 Directory when it is assigned to the the Wilkinson's. The Wilkinson's are last listed in the 1979 Directory and are noted as having participated on caravan 102- Mexico-Guatemala Winter 1975, so likely your 1967 Globetrotter has been to those places, although we cannot prove it.

Can anyone check on WBCCI # 16240?
I think my Safari came from somewhere in Oregon. But maybe registered in Washington State.
