Regions, Units and chapters?
We joined ACI and the Four Corners Unit shortly after we got back to The Ranch with our Airstream. Since then I've gotten welcome emails from both ACI and the Four Corners Unit, and a couple of invitations to FCU activities. Today's email brought a newsletter from Region 10. I found a map of the various Regions, and I'm confused as to why we are in Region 10.
Our address is Sioux Falls, SD, which is in Region 7. We winter in SE NM, which is Region 11, although ACI doesn't know about that, as all of our mail goes to SD.
So, how did we end up in Region 10, which is the Pacific NW?
It looks to me like the overall group is Airstream Club International, which is divided into 12 Regions. Each Region has some Units. Are there local clubs or chapters within those Units? If so, how might I find them?

Hmm good question. Maybe ask HQ how they assigned your region?
If you can navigate to the Nov 2024 Blue Beret, starting on p. 65 is a break down of all the local clubs that roll up to each region. I read that “unit” was the older terminology, and now they are called “clubs”, but I hear the two used interchangeably.
As a bonus, there are also “intra-clubs” that arent region specific, just members with similar interests. Look under Member Resources then Local Clubs and Intra-Clubs.

The ACI assigns your region to you based on the primary local club you join. Since you joined the FCU as your primary club, they assigned you to Region 10. You can always join a Region 7 Club as an affiliate if you wanted, or just check the 3 Region 7 Clubs and come to their rallies. You don't HAVE to belong to a specific local club to go to their rallies. We always welcome any ACI member to our rallies. You can visit the local Club websites of Region 7 to check on rally schedules. They are: North Dakota Peace Garden Unit, Minnesota Airstream Club, and Wisc-Up Club.
