Depends on what you're doing while you're in town, the kinds of places you like to stay, and the price you want to pay.
We have never stayed in/around Nashville but did a fair amount of research on the subject. The private/independent campgrounds in the area were too far away to suit us and they were on the pricey side. The COE parks are certainly good but too far out of town since we were planning to experience the nightlife Nashville has to offer. The best deal we found - for both price and location - was the Tennessee Fairgrounds. It's very close to downtown, the price is $35 (a little steep), it is in an urban area and it's a parking lot. It does have 30/50A, water and sewer. Being close to downtown was the priority for us. We visited this "campground" in person. When we go through Nashville again we will stay at the Tennessee Fairgrounds.
