Looking for a Unit that uses e-mail voting and paypal

Hi--

Been on the fence for a while about joining WBCCI. I like the concept and original vision... but reading a copy of BB reminding me of the "Hee-Haw / Welk" power hour my grandparented enjoyed every Saturday. I now live in fear of the accordian and harmonica.

Since my calendar is purgatory and I seem to keep platinium and gold status on two different airlines every year... the chance of me making a club meeting low to nil.

I'm looking for a Unit that will allow remote voting (e-mail ideal) and can take paypal. I know there are fees with palpay that the "seller" pays... but I'm happy to pay more for convenience.

Any suggestions?

Look at the 4 corners unit.Dues 1$ per year + WBCCI dues. No rules, no meeting we use the email and the internet .Just good folks having fun camping.

Thanks for the pointer. After looking at the website it does not look like it takes paypal. Drat.

Coastal_me (Anita) just sent me a link to the Sierra Nevada Unit and they do take paypal and seem to have e-mail voting.

Any other options?

As one of the 3 original founders of the Four Corners Unit, we did discuss remote voting. However, the WBCCI bylaws seem to only consider paper and they probably need to be modernized.

We do have our Four Corners unit, WBCCI # 004 private forum on Airforums.com. We also use e-mail to discuss our unit business.

I have proposed using Skype for no cost group "teleconferences" but that suggestion has yet to be accepted.

Paypal had not been considered but that is an interesting suggestion.

Another vote for the FCU. We also have members in Canada and Florida.

Since you have to fill out a form to join the WBCCI you're going to need to mail something anyway. May as well download a FCU/WBCCI application and add in a check.

All discussions take place on the internet and we'll see you when your schedule allows.

Humm. I wonder if the rules of the WBCCI prohibit using a webform (as opposed to email) for voting?
