Leo spun out like a villainous criminal, jettisoned back into cyberspace?

"To my slaves, the mere members of WBCCI, it is with both regret and amusement that the IBT informs you that this "super" man Leo is nothing of the kind. You see, we've discovered his weakness. He actually cares. I must admit, the thought of destroying him in front of all my slaves is something I really would enjoy."

From reading all the goings-on, shenannigans and just plain buffoonery I am wondering how many of the members are aware, at least as it appears to me, that their club leaders are doing some pretty bizarre things.

I mean, if the average member doesn't know or care about it, what difference will it make. I have no knowledge about the WBCCI membership demographics. Is this information available?

I attended an Airstreams In The Valley (Rio Grande Valley in Texas) lunch today that was attended by 81 WBCCI members and a few guests. A number of us wore our "Vote for Leo G" buttons. Interesting response!!! A very few, mostly wearing different coloured badges, gave us gut-freezing glares. But really interesting was the number of people who asked "Who is Leo G, and what is he running for". They honestly had no idea of the events of the past few years. Speaks very well of the success of the International in keeping information away from the membership. But the truth is getting out and the truth will set us free.

A friend who is also a WBCCI member and has registered for the captive WBCCI forum advises he that even the members-only sub-forum is silent on the issue of Garvey. Justice meted out under a blanket of secrecy is no justice at all.

I doubt if a post about Leo Garvey would last, I think my last post was deleted also.

Can you tell me why members keep logging into WBCCI forums when all political commentary is deleted? And that would be "political commentary" via the super administrator, or the communication committee chairman? Like the fatalities attributed to the peace keepers. Oxymoron?

So far, my last post on that forum is unmodified

Don Clark, 3vp is posting

The Super Administrator is now only an 'Administrator", but still unidentified.

What does this all mean? beats me.
The Fl State rally opens tomorrow. It looks like attendance will be lower this year as there is only one dinner feeding scheduled instead of the usual two and the program appears a little thinner in the seminar area. So far it has not snowed but it is not nearly as warm as it could be.
Where are the "Vote for Leo" Buttons coming from?. I would like a couple

I would like a "Vote for Leo" button also, where can I get one?

Rick, my last post was about not posting again due to lack of leadership participation. I did not go into detail because I had been chastised about cross posting. In a private email conversation with Charlie, I explained the reason in more detail. He did tell me that Don Clark had made two posts (which I then looked at). I will only go back when the leadership starts to post and will only contribute when they make substantial contributions. I seem to remember that Don posted something similar a few months ago. I like Don and hope that he continues to post.

Bill

ps: my last post was on Feb 12

Are you on one of the Bash lists?

Who's coming list - Who’s Coming « Baker's Acres of Chenango

Who's Wating list - Who’s Waiting « Baker's Acres of Chenango

Unlike the WBCCI, our lists are not secret. Go here to get on our waiting list:

Baker's Acres of Chenango

People who are on our list are even collaborating, out in the open here:

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f290...tml#post808116

We LOVE our lists, our lists are something we feel very special about.

Rob,

I noticed there have been a few drops because people who were on the wait list are now on the going list!

Do you have info that suggests people cancelled once they discovered this was not a WBCCI Event?

Wayne,

Good question. Thanks. Currently, out of the 60 respondents thus far, ALL stated that they knew the BASH was NOT a WBCCI event. Of those respondents to my email (not all replied), about 70% of them stated that if it was a WBCCI, they would NOT have signed up (thinking of telling theWBCCI lawyers that their club is having adverse impacts because people are thinking it is a WBCCI event - ha!). Only 1 has asked for a refund since all this happened..... two were fakes and we've had one cancellation due to work conflicts.

Thanks,
Rob

I spoke with several members of the Big Bend Florida unit this morning but haven't found who has the Vote for Leo signs yet. The hunt goes on,

Still sunny, windy and cold

I believe the "Vote for Leo" buttons are left over from when he ran for the Nomination Committee.

We need a new button "Reinstate Leo"

I sent E mails to several of the Region 2 Presidents asking if the were aware of the action against Leo and if they knew of the legal action now flying around.

Ontario responded, Yes and following it closely

If this ever stops I will follow Frank's idea and place a 2 in. Black tape across my numbers in honor of Leo.

My partner Charon & I are mourning this whole business. I saw in another fraternal organization (a now defunct chapter of the F.O.E.) how bad it can go. But for a national organization to do this stuff?? yee gods!

Because I lease a spot at a park for my summer residence which requires WBCCI membership I must maintain my membership, since I am full timing. I'd be homeless otherwise this summer. But I need to say that the most relaxed times I have with any trailer event has been consistently with the Tin Can Tourists, which is open to any age trailer, any type trailer or equipment, yes even tent campers! Since 2002 with the TCT, I have never had to deal with ANY politics AT ALL. Lots of vintage action, Airstreams a plenty, and mostly folks having a GOOD TIME CAMPING. In fact, I'll be at the 90th Annual Convention of the TCT (est. 1919), and there's a cold one for anyone reading this who comes by and asks for one-- for no other reason than its fun to share.

We are personally mourning what is happening. Our numbers are inverted as a sign of our distress. Wally & Stella-- what have they done to your child?

My wife Joan is the 1st VP of Metro NY. I am a past president. We have suggested that our Metro NY UNIT just ignore Leo and Gails termination.
If arrogance on behalf of WBCCI wins over intellect and devotion to our club, they will try to take action against Metro NY UNIT - one of the oldest in WBCCIs existence. We will fight back. We have legal remedies.
Joan and I are more than disappointed with our leadership and it is difficult for us because many of them are our friends and neighbors here at Travelers Rest.
But what is right is right. We stand with Leo and Gail 100% and we thank them for their continued efforts in making our camping club a fun club while having to put up with all this nonsense.
